Betty Campbell

Betty Lura Campbell, age 73, Joplin, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2019 at her residence.

Betty was born August 19, 1945 in Marionville, Missouri to the late Lloyd Tunnell and Fontella Timmons and had lived in Joplin for the last two years.

Betty worked in the milling industry, retiring from ADM Milling Company. Betty loved flowers and had a talent for being able to decorate. She enjoyed sewing; quilting; and cherished spending time with her family and holding her grandbabies. She was the heart of her family and loved each one of them with everything she had. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Betty married James Campbell on March 3, 1982 in Sarcoxie, Missouri. He survives at the home.








Additional survivors include her children, Fontella Smith and husband, William, Christopher Campbell; siblings, Patricia Vaught, Robert Tunnell; grandchildren, Kyle Hartman, Michael Jones, Zachary Jones, James Campbell, Charlameinge Campbell; and eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by sisters, Ruby Collins, Wanda Spencer; and a nephew, Kelly Vaught.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
