Nadine Carden

Mrs. Nadine Carden, 88, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Medicalodge in Neosho, Missouri, after a recent decline in health.

Nadine entered this life on December 27, 1930, in Rocky Comfort, Missouri, born to the union of the late Paul and Opal (Decker) Brown. She was raised in Rocky Comfort and was a 1948, graduate of Rocky Comfort High School.

 On May 3, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Dale Carden and together they shared fifty-six years before his passing on May 12, 2009. They resided in Kansas City, Missouri, for forty-three years. 

 Nadine was employed by Hallmark Cards and the Internal Revenue Service, retiring from the IRS in 1991 after thirty years of service. She enjoyed traveling and attending bluegrass and country music festivals. She was a faithful member of the Anderson United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bill Brown. 








Nadine is survived by her niece, Rana Woolaway and husband, Donnie, of Rocky Comfort, Missouri; a nephew, Jason Brown of Purdy, Missouri; three great nephews, Hunter Brown and Cade and Carson Woolaway; a great-great nephew, Gunner Brown; as well as a host of other family, friends and church family.

Funeral services for Nadine will be held on Friday morning, November 8, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Anderson with Pastor Nick VanDam officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery. 

 Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Jeff Elwood, Kevin Blecha, Junior Pratt, Larry Keaton, Dennis MacKenzie and Jake MacKenzie. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5-7:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.
