Henry Conner

Henry George Conner, 67, of Springfield, MO was born on December 5, 1956 to Fred and Helen Reynolds and was adopted by Rev. George E. and Hazel M. Conner of Walnut Grove, MO when he was 5 years old. He went to be with the Lord on September 18,2024 at Spring Valley Rehab in Springfield, MO after a long illness.

Henry grew up on the family farm and was saved at a young age. Henry graduated in the class of 1975 from Walnut Grove, MO. He worked at Lily Tulip Cup Company from 1975-1978. Henry then worked at General Electric in Springfield, MO from 1978-2004 where he retired from. 






Henry was a Baptist preacher in his early years and preached in several churches including Stockton Free Will Baptist Church of Stockton, MO and Bethel Community Church of Fair Play, MO. He drove a cab for many years in Springfield and the surrounding areas.

Henry has 2 children Sarah Elizabeth Conner and Jonathan Jacob Conner.

Henry was proceeded in death by parents Fred and Helen Reynolds and adoptive parents Rev. George and Hazel Conner, sister, Thelma Scroggins, brothers Frederick and Tommy Reynolds, brothers-in-law David Scroggins and Dallas Cook.






 

Henry is survived by daughter Sarah E. Conner of Stockton, MO and Jonathan (Anita) Conner of Springfield, MO. Step children Christine and Charity and wife Leah Conner. Grandchildren: Johtyna (Liam) Cutbirth of Springfield, MO , Kimberly Goldsberry of Ash Grove, MO, Charlotte Conner and Dominic Conner (Delcher) of Springfield, MO plus 4 great grandchildren and one on the way. Sisters, Sue (Mike) McDowell of Avilla, MO, Marie Cook of Greeny, CO, Faye Reynolds of Overland Park, KS, and Betty Kausman of Mount Ridge, KS. Brother Harley Conner of Staton, CA. Along with host of nieces and nephews and other family.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 25 from 1:00PM until service time at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Memorial services will begin at 2:00PM at the funeral home.
