Bob Osburn

Robert "Bob" Osburn, 79, of Joplin, departed from this life on March 1st, 2021, at Mercy Hospital, after a short illness.

Bob was a man who worked hard and kept busy even in his later years. After a long career as an owner of G&O insurance in Joplin, he drove a school bus and had a dog kennel for many years. He spent his time caring for his animals and riding horses anytime he could. He loved trail riding with friends and family and spending time with his kids and grandkids (especially when he could do both together).

Bob was preceded in death by his parents John N. Osburn and Florence Conner, and his son, Don Osburn. Bob is survived by his five children, Dave Osburn, Laura Simmons, Robert "Bob" Osburn Jr., Cara White, and Allison Nelson and their families; his siblings, many grandchildren, great-grandson, family, friends, and his horse, King. All will miss him dearly.

No memorial service is planned at this time, cremation arrangements under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
