Glen Withnell

On Saturday, July 17, 2021 Glen L Withnell Sr., Monett, Mo entered into rest at the age of 74 at Ashton Home in Liberty, Mo. 

Glen was born on August 15, 1946, to Leland R Sr. and Freda (Planchon) Withnell. Glen was a war Veteran and a retired Industrial Electrician. 

He married Frances Farmer Rainwater in May 1977 and they had one son, Glen Withnell Jr.; three daughters, Lisa Martin, Sharon Rainwater. Glen was blessed with six grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren, as well as many nephew, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones. Family was everything to Glen, he had the most contagious laugh and a gift of a great sense of humor. 

He is survived by his son, Glen Jr. of Aurora, Missouri; Daughters, Lisa Martin of Aurora, Missouri; Arlene Rainwater of Monett, Missouri; Sharon Rainwater of Webb City, Missouri; Five sisters, Nancy Armstrong of Wheaton, Missouri; Beulah Walters of Cassiville, Missouri; Freda Talley of Washington; Helen Wink of Pierce City, Missouri; Sarah (Ken) Groom of Crane, Missouri; Four brothers, Darrel (Barbara) Withnell of Crane, Missouri; Norman (Ella) Withnell of Monett, Missouri; Leland Withnell Jr.; Lace (Julia) Withnell of Monett, Missouri. 

In addition to his wife Frances, Glen is preceded in death by his parents Leland (Freda) Withnell, and one sister, Ollie Ann Danley.

Glen was a joyful man, and his wishes were that he is not grieved but that we hold a celebration of life. Details will be finalized and shared when completed with the planned date and place being August 15, 2021, at the Monett City Park. A memorial will be set up through the VFW in Monett, Mo.

A visitation will be held at Clark Funeral Home, Granby, Mo. Saturday July 24, 202, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
