Red Pritchard

Medgar V. "Red" Pritchard of Grove, OK passed from this life Friday, June 27, 2025 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO. He was 87.

Red was born January 20, 1938 in Tishomingo, OK to Virgil and Era (Stephenson) Pritchard. He had Lived in the Grove area for 35 years, moving from the Joplin and Neosho, MO area. He served in the United States Air Force.







Red owned and operated Carpet Mill Outlet in Neosho, Miami, Grove and Commerce for over 30 years. He also owned and operated Solid Steel Storage and Hitch-N-Post Flea Market in Commerce, OK.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Pritchard on May 27, 2022, 1 son, David Pritchard on December 18, 2018, his parents, Virgil and Era Pritchard, and 2 brothers, Jim Pritchard and Bill Pritchard.

Red is survived by 3 sons, Kevin Pritchard and his wife Kory of Joplin, MO, Daniel Pritchard and his wife Holly of Joplin, MO and Matthew Pritchard of Joplin, MO, 1 daughter, Rebecca Danell and her husband Brandon of Grove, OK, 1 brother,, Paul Pritchard and his wife Linda of Heber-Overgard, AZ, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Molly and Bruce George of Carterville, MO, 10 grandchildren, Alan Michael, Jacob, Brooklynn, Haven, Hillary, Taylor, Braxton, Brooke, Ravyn and Logan and 2 great-grandchildren, Hunter and Jaxson.








Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2025 at GAP Church in Miami, OK with Rev. Jim Land officiating. Interment will follow in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 - 7 p.m. at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, OK.
