Lyle J. Green, age 57, of Carl Junction, Mo. passed away at 9:43 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2016 at Mercy Hospital Joplin, from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Lyle was born June 23, 1958 in Joplin, and was a lifetime area resident. Lyle was a 1976 graduate of Parkwood High School in Joplin and graduated in 1981 from Missouri State University in Springfield with a degree in economics. Lyle was a self-employed investor, and had previously worked for Shearson-Leiman Brothers, A. G. Edwards, and Mid Missouri Bank.
Lyle was a member of the College Heights Christian Church, and was a Past President of the Board and member of the Twin Hills Golf and Country Club.
Lyle married Pam Meyer September 24, 1983 in Joplin and she survives. Additional survivors include three daughters, Sydney Vernon and husband Phil, Joplin, Mallory Esgar and husband Josh, Ft. Smith, Ar., and Kirsty Green, Shawnee, Ok., one sister, Cathy St. John and husband H. Gregg, Cumming, Ga., two grandchildren, Oliver and Hazel Vernon, and one on the way.
Lyle will be cremated. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the College Heights Christian Church with Randy Gariss, Minister, officiating. Memorial visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the Mortuary. Memorial contributions are requested to the Green Scholarship Education Fund for his daughter in care of the Mortuary. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory of Joplin, Mo.
