Randy Ray Brundige, age 56, of Irwin, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 20, 2016, in Kansas City, Kansas.
Randy was born December 6, 1959, at St. Joseph, Missouri, to Wesley and Mila (Cannon) Brundige. After moving with his family to Barton County he graduated from Lamar High School and then served in the U.S. Army. On October 4, 2009, at Lamar, Randy married Nancy Beaumont and she preceded him in death January 15, 2010. He was also preceded by his parents and five brothers.
As an over-the-road trucker for 38 years, Randy drove countless miles all across the country, collecting friends wherever he traveled. He never met a stranger, could talk to anyone about just about anything, and relished a great story or practical joke among family and friends. An avid outdoorsman, Randy’s favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was a talented woodworker who built furniture for family and friends. Randy was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle in Lamar.
Survivors include his fiancé, Becky Arehart; a son, James (Chelsea) Beaumont of Webb City, Missouri; two daughters, Trish (Jessie) Taylor of Nevada, Missouri and Mythia Beaumont of Phoenix, Arizona; a brother Joe (Kathy) Brundige of Lamar. He adored his nine grandchildren, Airiana, Ethyn Sorilea, Chase, Gage (aka Boogie), Trent, Jessie, Jett, and Clay.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, at Daniel Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Friday. Burial will be in Howell Cemetery near Milford, Missouri.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Barton County Humane Society in care of the funeral home.
