Jack Daniel

Jack B. Daniel, 87, of Diamond, MO, passed away on July 10, 2021. He was born September 17, 1933, in Diamond, MO. Son of Jackson and Olivia (Boyd) Daniel, he was a lifelong area resident. 

Jack attended Diamond schools for most of his education, and as a young man he worked at the grocery store owned by his parents, D&J Market. 










He left school to join the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Eglin Air Force Base in Ft Walton Beach, FL. He served part of that time at Thule Air Base in Greenland. After returning from the service, Jack finished his education at Pierce City High School then went to work in the test area at Rocketdyne. 

On February 21, 1958, he married Iris Jeans at Diamond Grove Christian Church. Jack later became a tool salesman and was owner and operator of Jack Daniel Tool Sales for over fifty-two years.

In his twenties, Jack came to know Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior and served Him throughout the rest of his life. For a time, he served as the Joplin Chapter President of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship, and he also served with The Gideons International. He had a love for the Nation of Israel and prayed for it daily. He raised pigeons, peacocks, and parrots. He loved to travel, especially in his motorhome. Jack had his pilot’s license, enjoyed flying, and he even owned his own plane. Jack visited many states, but Florida was his favorite.

He is survived by his wife, Iris; four children, Connie Satterfield and husband Danny of Wichita, KS; Kelly Daniel and wife Anita of Fort Collins, CO; Kent Daniel of Diamond, MO; Craig Daniel and wife Denise of Diamond, MO; nine grandchildren, Jeremy (Chelsey) Satterfield, Tim Satterfield, Jendy (Trent) Barney, Kara (Luke) VanHorn, Hunter (Caroline) Daniel, Lacey Daniel, Ashlyn Daniel, Aspen Daniel, and eight great grandchildren; one sister, Sondra Showalter of Diamond, MO, and a loving extended family. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jackson and Olivia Daniel, and one granddaughter, Alyssa Daniel.

A family visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday July 15, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho, MO. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday July 16, 2021, at the Silver Moon Full Gospel Church. Interment will follow at Diamond Cemetery.
