Betty Carstens

Betty Carstens was born February 21, 1934 in Holstein, Iowa to Harry and Olga Groepper Carstens. 

She attended a country school from the first grade to seventh grade, when the schools were consolidated. She started the eighth grade in Holstein Public School and graduated in 1952. 








She attended Electronic Radio Institute in Omaha, Nebraska in 1952 and was hired by Boeing Aircraft Company in Wichita, Kansas in 1952 and took retirement after 38 years. She then moved to Shell Knob, Missouri in September of 1989 where she lived until her passing on May 7, 2021. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother. 

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; her brother-in-law, Patrick Cline of Neosho and a very dear friend, Donna Cosgray. 

Betty was kind, loving and caring and never met a stranger. She will be horribly missed. 

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 10 am at the Neosho IOOF Cemetery and she will be interred by her loving sister, Joanne Cline. Contributions in memory of Betty may be made to the Lupus Foundation, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850.
