(From Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home)Joel A. Dedmon, 69, Seneca, MO, passed into eternal rest January 2, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin after an illness.
Joel Aaron Dedmon was born July 1, 1952 in St. Louis, MO the son of Gaylen and Shirley (Fleming) Dedmon. Joel graduated from Green Forest High School in Green Forest, AR.
He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with his sons and grandchildren. Joel formerly worked at a sawmill in Nubieber, CA. He retired from the former Empire District Electric Company where he was a maintenance Operator. Joel attended Swars Prairie Baptist Church south of Seneca, MO.
Joel Aaron Dedmon married Mary Alice Leonard August 4, 1979 in Bieber, CA and she survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Randy Allen Dedmon, Seneca and Christopher Dwight Dedmon and Ashley, Marshfield, MO; one brother, William Dedmon and wife Virginia, Greenfield, MO; two sisters, Deborah Epps and husband Rod, Forsyth, MO and Cindy Dedmon, Priest River, ID and five grandchildren; Elly, Wyatt, Breannna, Harper and Bowen; and a host of extended family and friends.
Joel was preceded in death by his parents and one brother James Dedmon.
The body has been taken for cremation under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm, Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Swars Prairie Baptist Church with Jarel Burnside officiating.
