(From Parker Mortuary)Larry “Thrill” Hill, 69, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 31, 2024, at home. Larry was born June 5, 1955, in Joplin and graduated from Seneca High School in 1973.
He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Ion Hill, his mother, Thelma Jean Henson, two brothers, Thomas Ion Hill and Craig Lee Hill and a brother-in-law, Steve Skaggs.
Larry is survived by his wife, Bonnye Hill; his stepfather, Eugene Henson; a sister, Cindy Skaggs; two brothers, Sam Hill and Clyde Henson; and a stepdaughter Quentyn Ensor.
Finding his niche, he worked in automotive sales and management for several years. He served as the president of the Joplin Jaycees and the local Corvette Club. He loved swing dancing; fast cars and it’s been said he was a pretty shrewd pool player. He was a generous man who would give you his last dime; loyal to all he loved and compassionate to those in need. He was a good man, as good as they come, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary and there will be a private family service at a later date.
