(From Sisco Funeral Home)Shirley Ann Barrett was called home on November 4, 2024 after a life filled with love, laughter, and grace. Born on May 9, 1949 in Jacket, Missouri, Shirley brought brightness to everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. With a heart as generous as it was kind, she made life more beautiful for those around them.
As a devoted wife, mother, mammy, sister, aunt, and friend, Shirley was the cornerstone of a family that admired her strength, wisdom, and unwavering kindness. She lived with a quiet dignity and was never too busy to lend a helping hand, share a warm smile, or offer words of encouragement. Her love was boundless, and she carried it in all that she did, leaving an imprint on our hearts that time can never fade.
Shirley lived with a spirit of joy, celebrating life’s little moments with a twinkle in her eye and an infectious laugh that could lift anyone’s spirits.
Family gatherings were Shirley's favorite moments, where she and her family would share stories, laughter, and create lasting memories. Whether thy were in the kitchen preparing a good southern meal or offering a warm embrace, Shirley knew how to make others feel truly cherished.
Shirley’s kindness, resilience, and compassion will live on in each of us. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will guide us and uplift us. We will carry her spirit in our hearts, holding onto the countless precious moments and lessons they gifted us.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Tammy Schmidt, Sandra Wright and nine siblings. We find comfort in knowing Shirley is reunited with loved ones who went before, watching over us with that same, steadfast love.
