Louise Marie Smith, 80, Carthage, MO passed away Monday evening, September 28, 2015. Louise Marie Kleiss was born January 7, 1935 in Lamar, MO to Lawrence and Goldie Kleiss. She was a graduate of Carthage Senior High School, Class of 1953. Louise married Harold L. Smith on June 14, 1952, he preceded her in death on November 11, 2009. She and her husband Harold were former owners of West Chestnut Monument.
Survivors include one daughter; Diana (husband James) Parker, Carthage, MO; one brother; Donald Kleiss, Carthage, MO; four grandchildren; Brittney Taylor, Nathan, Chad, and Tasha Parker; and eighteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 9:00 – 10:00 AM. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 10:00 AM. Bub Miller will officiate. Cremation will take place after the service. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Fullerton Cemetery, Carthage, MO. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
