Sharon Rose Burgess, age 73, Eagle Rock, Missouri, passed away at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2017 at her home after an illness.
Sharon was born July 23, 1943 in Jasper County, Missouri to the late Charles Peterson and Verla F. Jones Peterson and had lived in Southwest Missouri all of her life.
She worked in sales at Avon for many years. Sharon was fond of crafts and sewing and enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino. She will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Mickey, in 2016.
Survivors include a son, David Harris, Eagle Rock; one daughter, Lorri Harris, Galena, Kansas; one brother, Gerald Peterson, Galena, Missouri; a sister, Bernadine Herron, Joplin; five grandchildren, David Harris, Jeremy Albright, Sherri Laturner, Cassie Cutrer, Beverly Harris; one step daughter, Sherry Wilson, Pittsburg, Kansas; and several great grandchildren.
Graveside services are planned for Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Ozark Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
