Pauline Wallace, a former Joplin resident, passed away after a recent illness April 22, 2018 in American Fork, Utah, she was 88.
She was born in Layton Utah to Henry S Smedley and LaVerna N Thornley. She married Richard Wallace April 20, 1950 in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple. She was a lifelong devoted member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved serving as a teacher and in various leadership positions. She also loved serving in the Dallas Temple, St Louis, Missouri Temple, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Temple, and Ogden, Utah Temple as ordinance worker.
Pauline is survived by daughters Debbie (Gary) Lewis of Spring, Texas, Wendie (Mike) Dunaway of Pleasant Grove, Utah, Kristie (the late Martin) Gove of Chandler Arizona and son Rick (Susan) of Neosho, Missouri. She leaves posterity of 21 grandchildren, 33 great- grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson. Preceded in death by her husband Richard Wallace, daughter Evelyn Clark (Brad-still living), great-granddaughter Ocean Dunaway.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 30, at The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 22nd and Indiana. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.
