(From Clark Funeral Home)Carroll Housh, age 89 of rural Carthage, passed away Thursday, February 3rd at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 23, 1933, in the Pepsin Community to Bill and Lora Housh.
Carroll worked in construction, working with several construction companies until his retirement. He continued to enjoy and work with his Santa Gertrudis cattle. He was a member of New Fairview Baptist Church, where he faithfully served his entire life.
Carroll is survived by his wife of 70 wonderful years, Louise Housh; one son, Leroy Housh and wife, Carie of Sarcoxie; one daughter, Carolyn Kinney and husband, Terry of Diamond; five grandchildren, Matt Housh and wife, Twyla of Diamond; Lora Frazier and husband, James of Diamond; Hailey Housh of Sarcoxie, Wade Kinney of Diamond and Megan Kinney of Diamond and seven great grandchildren he loved dearly. Additional survivors are one sister, Jo Long of Granby; two brothers, Billy Housh of Reeds and Paul Housh and wife, Nina of Carthage; two brothers-in-law, Don Benefiel and Carl Goodnight and several nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
Carroll is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Pauline Benefiel; two sisters-in-law, Ellen Housh and Linda Goodnight and brother-in-law, Floyd Long. He will be missed by all who knew him.
