Chase Mitchell

(From Simpson Funeral Home)

Chase Aaron Mitchell, the biggest Chiefs fan everyone knew, passed away from this life unexpectedly on Sunday, June 4, 2023. He was just 37.

Chase was born on February 25, 1986 to Terry and Debbie (Hensley) Mitchell, in Joplin, MO. He was a graduate of Joplin High School, Class of 2004. In school, he played tennis, and was in the marching band. The band performed at the Rose Bowl Parade, and he talked about it often.

Chase was a huge lover of sports and played many. You would always hear him reminisce of his baseball days with friends at the ball field. He received many medals in wrestling when he was younger, and was very proud of that.

Chase worked at Target following high school, and loved his job there. He spent the last 10 years as an exterminator for Daryl Kidd Pest Control.

He loved all things outdoors, grilling, going to Chiefs games - and being a Season ticket holder, golfing, annual float trips with friends, going to concerts, playing the drums and guitar, and collecting sports memorabilia. He was the condiment king, a big kid at heart, and an animal whisperer. Chase had the biggest heart, and was a friend to all! He was always the life of the party, and made everyone laugh!

Chase is survived by his fiancé, and the love of his life, Lauren Gilbreth. His beloved companions, Roger, Little Girl, Kitty Girl and Kitty Boy. Older brother Brice Mitchell, wife Deana, nephews Kynion and Kruse of Springfield, MO.

His father, Terry Mitchell of Orange Port, FL and wife Trisha. Cousin Stephanie Lonie, husband Jason, of Neosho MO. Cousins Chaney Davidson, Monica Hill, and Jaimee Nicaise. And, many many friends and Chiefs fans.

Chase is preceded in death by his mother, Debbie Mitchell, his maternal grandparents, Clark and Jaevenne Hensley, paternal grandparents, Bill and Marcele Mitchell, and Aunt Sandra Hensley Nicaise.

Lauren will receive visitors at the home on Sunday, June 11th from 2-6pm. A private celebration of life will take place at a later time.

Keep Chase’s memory alive during every Kansas City Chiefs game. He would want everyone to Party On & Rock Hard! GO CHIEFS!!!

Services are under the personal care and direction of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City. The family encourages family and friends to visit simpsonfh.com to share photos and memories of Chase.
