(From Ozark Funeral Home)Ellsworth Qualls, age 85, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away at his residence in Anderson, Missouri, on Tuesday evening, July 2, 2024, after months of failing health. Born on April 19, 1939, in Stella, Missouri, Ellsworth's life was a testament to the enduring power of family and hard work.
Raised in Washburn, Missouri, Ellsworth was a man of great integrity and strength.
On August 26, 1960, he married the love of his life, Betty Divine, in a ceremony held in Stella, Missouri. Together, they built a life filled with love and shared experiences. Ellsworth and Betty moved to Anderson, Missouri, in 1961, where they would spend the majority of their 63 years together, creating a warm and welcoming home for their family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Qualls, of the home; his daughter, Tammie Adams and husband, Jim, of Anderson; four grandchildren, Cory Qualls and wife, Norma, Talisha Hudson and husband, Daniel, Scotty Qualls and wife, Alesha and Cody Adams; eight great grandchildren, John, Zeb, Mariah, Dawson, Kirsti, Timothy, Matthew and Molly; three great-great grandchildren, Carter, Journey and Jaxx; a brother, Loren Wayne Qualls and wife, Luanne, of Bethpage, Missouri; two sisters, Lorene Ramey of Buckner, Missouri and Trish Harrelson and husband, Jerry, of Zephyrhills, Florida; and a multitude of other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Eva (Beaver) Qualls; his son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Liz Qualls; three brothers, Billy Gene, Howard, and Clarence Junior Qualls; and three sisters, Blanche Posey, Josephine Williams, and Helen Abe.
Ellsworth's work ethic was evident to all who knew him. He retired from Tyson Foods after nearly forty years of dedicated service. His colleagues respected him for his reliability and commitment, and many became lifelong friends. Ellsworth's faith was also an important aspect of his life. He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior four years ago, a decision that brought him great peace and fulfillment.

An avid outdoorsman, Ellsworth found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an enthusiastic hunter and fisherman, often sharing stories of his adventures and the tranquility he found in nature. Ellsworth also enjoyed visiting area casinos, where he shared laughter and good times with friends and family.
Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2024 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Larry Casey officiating. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery in Anderson. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Dan Quimiro, Gene Ramey, Mike Barnett, Daniel Hudson, Jerry Harrelson and Gary Qualls with Jeremy Quimiro, John Polhemus and Zeb Polhemas serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
