Joe Rapp

Joe Dale Rapp, age 86, of Everton, Missouri, passed away at 3:18 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2024, at his home. He was born July 11, 1938, in Clever, Missouri, the son of Stephen “Tebe” and Louise May (Jefferson) Rapp.

Joe was a 1956 graduate of Marionville High School, in Marionville, Missouri. He was a United State Navy veteran. Joe was a plumber and pipe fitter for Local 178 JATC in Springfield, Missouri, and he enjoyed doing woodworking.

On May 5, 1962, he married Darline Sonna Bennett, in Carson City, Nevada. She preceded him in on death December 3, 2006.

Joe is survived by his daughter, Yvonne Scheidler and her husband, Mark, of Marshfield, Missouri; two sons, Charles Rapp and his wife, Helen, of Everton, Missouri and Westley Rapp and his wife, Donna, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one brother, Billie Rapp of Richland, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Tebe and Louise; his wife, Darline; one son, Steven Refuerzo and eleven siblings.

A celebration of Joe’s life will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. Burial will be held at a later date at the Dunkle Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.FossetMosherFuneralHome.com.
