James Taylor

James Michael Taylor, 79, passed away on March 25, 2025. He was born on July 17, 1945, in Vinita, Oklahoma, to Frances and Eulalia Taylor.

James proudly served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1970, aboard the USS Claude Jones. After his service, he married the love of his life, Susan on April 12, 1979 and together they shared a life of fun times and lasting memories.








James pursued a successful career with Pizza Hut for 30 years following his time in the Navy, and later had a very enjoyable career in the antique postcard business. He traveled across the country to share his passion for history. As a lifelong history enthusiast, James loved exploring museums and sharing his knowledge with others.

Known for his boundless love for his family, friends, and beloved pets, James was a mentor, role model, provider, and friend to all who knew him. His son, James, reflects, “From his relentless work ethic, his want to provide for his family and friends, and his passion in sharing things he was interested in, he has made me more thankful and proud to carry his name.”

James was deeply loved by his family, and his memory will be cherished by his wife, Susan Taylor; children, Emily Taylor & James Taylor, daughters from previous marriage, Angie Stringer, and Valerie Taylor; sister, Jeanne Taylor; four grandchildren Kayleigh, Jadyn, Owen, and Kaliah, and his fur grandbabies, Lincoln and Ms. Opal. He was preceded in death by his parents.








A visitation will be held on April 1, 2025, at Clark Funeral Home - Chapel of Memories from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at the Missouri VA Cemetery on April 8, 2025 at 2:00PM. There will be a family and friends gathering following the graveside service in Ozark, Missouri.

James will forever be remembered for his unwavering love, passion, and dedication to those who were lucky enough to know him.
