Christopher Leo Cagle went home to be with his Savior on December 12, 2025, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.Chris was born on June 28, 1961, in Fort Benning, Georgia, to the late Roy Cagle and Karen Jackson. He graduated from Parkwood High School in 1979 and later earned a bachelor’s degree in history.
In 1982, Chris met the love of his life, Kathy, while working at Hickory Barn in Joplin, Missouri. Joplin remained their home until 2009, when they moved to Southern California, where they served in ministry together at Calvary Chapel Bible College and Conference Center for 13 years. Chris and Kathy shared 41 wonderful years of marriage.
Together, they raised three children: Tiffany Cagle; Morgan Rawlins and Thomas “Jackson” Cagle. Chris’s greatest pride and joy were his two grandchildren, Jeremiah and Violet Cagle. He cherished every moment being their “Papa.”
Chris loved many things in life, but among the most important were his relationship with the Lord, his family, his love for guns, the great outdoors, and history. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his family will carry on his legacy.
Chris is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy Cagle, of the home; his three children, Tiffany Cagle, Morgan Rawlins (Joshua), and Thomas “Jackson” Cagle; his two grandchildren, Jeremiah and Violet Cagle; his two sisters, Kelly Johnson (Bob) of Dallas, Texas, and Cortnee Eaton of Joplin, Missouri; and his aunt, Connie Belcher (Bill) of Webb City, Missouri.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Cagle and Karen Jackson; both sets of grandparents, Walter and Loraine Taylor and Roy and Francis Cagle; and his stepson, Curtis Adair.
