(From Stumpff Funeral Home)Nelson John Reed born January 11, 1970 and passed July 24, 2026 after he beating cancer two years ago. Due to complications caused by the cancer he fought a short battle with heart failure.
He was a mechanic by trade, owned his own logging company and helped with the family owned lawn and landscape/snow removal business for the better part of his life.
Nelson is preceded in death by a son Matthew C-W Antill of Ozark, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Shannon Reed of Reeds Spring; his children, Nickole Corp of New Jersey, Monique Antill of Purdy, Missouri, Britton Ayres of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Trinity Demler Rathbun of Branson, Missouri; his parents, Nelson A. and Sueann Reed of Southampton, New Jersey; his mother-in-law, Vickee L. Stedham of New Port Richey, Florida; a sister, Nadine Kunz of Southampton, New Jersey; a brother, Jason Reed of New Jersey; and his favorite cousin, Ellen Gibson of New Jersey. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren: Kinsley, Hadley, and Bailey of Purdy, Missouri; Kaylee, Mackenzie, Hayley, Matilda, and Liam of New Jersey; Hailey, Olivia, and Kodah of Lincoln, Nebraska; and Braxton, Elijah, and Robert Jr. of Branson, Missouri.
We're having a Celebration of Life to honor Nelson's life at Big Rock Creek, in Walnut Shade on Saturday, August 8 2026, at 11:00 A.M.
Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Kimberling City, Missouri.
