Mr. Louis Delbert Gallahue, Jr., 63, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, August 28, 2017, at his home, after a recent decline in health.
Louis entered this life on April 23, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky, son of the late Louis Delbert Gallahue, Sr. and Helen (Echer) Gallahue. He was raised and attended school in Louisville, Kentucky. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army from 1971-73. After being honorably discharged he returned home to Louisville and on August 25, 1973 he was united in marriage to Mary Wittenauer. They remained in Louisville until moving to Anderson, Missouri in 1986. For several years he worked in the field of produce sales. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending numerous hours with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donnie and John Gallahue; and a grandson, Derrek Gallahue.
Louis is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Mary Gallahue of the home; two sons, Michael Gallahue of Anderson and Matthew Gallahue and wife, Amy, of Zachary, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Joseph, Josh, Haylie, Justin, Brooklyn and Jesse; two brothers, Larry Gallahue of Louisville and Bill Gallahue of the state of South Carolina; a sister, Linda McCarty also of Louisville; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
