Sondra Roseanna Whited, age 71, of Joplin, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Freeman Hospital, surrounded her family.
Sondra was born September 20, 1945 in Rockwood, Tennessee to the late Hugh Weller and Loryne Pierce Weller. As a young child, she moved to Joplin and attended and graduated from McAuley Catholic School. She was a homemaker, taking great care of her family. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Webb City, Missouri.
Survivors include a son, Mike Presley of Webb City; daughters, Theresa Woods and husband, Tommy of Joplin, Lisa Beckham and husband, Mike of Rogers, Arkansas, Angela Cline of Joplin and Ami Richardson of Oronogo, Missouri; 12 grandchildren, Rose, Amanda, Ben, Jonn, Jack, Joey, Hayden, Whitney, Alicia, Chantel, Garrett and Miranda, plus 9 great grandchildren; brother, Mike Weller of Joplin; sisters, Jayne Montgomery and partner, Kathy, of Overland Park, Kansas, Leslie Thomas and husband, T.J. of Alba, Missouri and Laurel Cramer of Joplin.
Other than her parents, Sondra was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Rebecca Evans and an infant grandchild, Allison.
Funeral services are planned for Friday, August 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary, Joplin. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. also at the mortuary.
