John McCorduck

John E. McCorduck was born April 20, 1931 in New York Mills, New York, the son of Earl John and Bessie (Armstrong) McCorduck. He entered into rest on May 7, 2018 in Joplin, Missouri, following a long illness at the age of 87. John served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and then worked as an electronic technician for the FAA. He moved to the Neosho area in 2002 from Kingman, Arizona. He was a member of the VFW and he enjoyed substitute teaching, umpiring, coaching sports, playing tennis, but his greatest enjoyment was being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
 
John and Carol (Osteen) were married in 1955 at Long Beach, California and she survives of the home. Also surviving are two children, Sheryl Lynette Huggins and husband, Timothy of Neosho and David McCorduck; grandchildren, Davy McCorduck and wife, Andrea of Neosho; Lavisa McCorduck of Miami, Florida; Renee Zimmerman and husband, Nathan of Neosho and Johnathan Huggins of Neosho; nine great grandchildren and a brother, Ronald McCorduck. He is preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Daniel and four siblings.
