Jeff Adams

Pastor "Swish" Jeffrey Todd Adams, 56 a beloved bus driver for Riverton USD 404; and Pastor at Lowell Friends Church passed from this life and entered the Gates of Heaven on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Mercy Hospital following complications from COVID-19.

Swish a life-long resident of Baxter Springs, Kansas was born in Joplin, Missouri to the union of Luther Daniel "Danny" and Sandra Ann (Sneed) Adams. Swish graduated from Baxter Springs High School with the class of 1982. 

Swish married his high school sweet heart, Pam (Metcalf) Adams on July 5, 1985 in Riverton, Kansas.








He always saw the best in people and poured his heart out for the children on his bus route. Swish was a devoted father, husband, son, brother and papa. If you knew Swish long enough then you knew his love for nicknames. He loved Gods word and ministering it to his people. He was a former Baxter Springs volunteer firefighter. Swish was an avid sports fan and loved the Kansas Jayhawks. He always loved the game of golf and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was always the life of the room, and made everyone laugh and smile.

Jeff is survived by his wife Pam Adams of the home; mother, Sandra Adams of Baxter Springs, KS; son, Kai Adams and Matt Ramsay of Joplin, MO; daughter, Hali Jo Adams and Parker Patterson of Baxter Springs, KS; brother, Jody Adams and wife Billie Jo of Baxter Springs, KS; grandchildren, Bentley and Nolee Patterson.

Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Danny Adams and brother, Gregg "Hick" Adams.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday January 2, 2021 at Grace Community Church, Riverton, KS. Family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday at the church. Burial will follow in the Quaker Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service are Jody Adams, Kody Adams, Dawson Adams, Doug Metcalf, Kenny Metcalf and David Metcalf. Local area ministers will serve as honorary pallbearers. Mask are recommended for the service. Memorial donations may be made to the family or Lowell Friends Church in care of the funeral home.
