Barbara Pennel

Barbara Ruth Pennel was born August 13, 1934 in Watonga, Oklahoma the daughter of Loyal C. and Viola R. (Chapman) Elder. She entered into rest on March 8, 2021 at the home of her daughter in Neosho at the age of 86. 

Barbara was a lifelong Granby resident and had worked as a bus driver for East Newton Schools and was a hairdresser. Barbara loved her family deeply and family was her top priority. She had a strong Christian faith and was the social butterfly of the Oaks. She loved her pets, Sissy and Zeke. 

Barbara is survived by five children, Danny Michael Cantrell, Michelle Chase and husband, George, Jenelle Bish and husband, Rick, Kevin E. Everett and wife, Heather and Alan Shane Everett, a/k/a the golden child and wife, Lori; twenty grandchildren; fifty great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren with one on the way. Barbara is survived by her twin brother, Bob Elder and Richard Elder, brother; three sisters, Doris, Beverly, and Bonnie. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Barbara Marney; grandson, Stephen Michael Cantrell and great grandson, Parker Phoenix Everett. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 10th at 2 pm at the Granby Memorial Cemetery. Her viewing will be held at Clark Funeral Home Granby from noon to 4 pm Tuesday and 9 am until noon Wednesday.
