Brittany Lyell



Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lamar Family Ministries Center for Brittany Kay Lyell, 36, Joplin, who died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021. Pastor Bob Petersen officiated. 

Survivors include her mother, Ronda Fisher, Carthage; a half-sister, Kristy Lyell-Amaya, state of Indiana and her children, Maylee O’Neal, 19, Joplin, Elise Ferris, 16, Lamar, Brevon Timmons, 13, Lamar and Jah Ellis, two months, Joplin. 








She was preceded in death by her father, Delbert Lyell; her maternal grandparents, Earl and Betty Fisher and her paternal grandparents, Joseph and Velta Lyell. 

Ms. Lyell was born Jan. 2, 1985, in Lamar. She was a 2004 graduate of Sheldon High School. She attended Missouri Southern State University, where she received a BSN degree in 2014. She was a former registered nurse at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, was a home health care nurse and had also worked as a traveling nurse. 

She enjoyed fishing, hunting, anything outdoors, playing guitar and singing. She was described as a quirky jokester and always brought joy to everyone around her.
