Juanita Channel

Juanita Bernice (Woodcock) Channel, 85, Granby, MO passed away March 5, 2021 after an unexpected, sudden illness. Juanita was born April 9, 1935 in Washburn, MO to Sarah Anna (Crawford) and Willard Mahurin. She lived most of her life in Granby. 

Juanita had worked at LaBarge in Joplin, MO making supplies for the medical department, leaving employment at the age of 75. She loved to garden, do embroidery work, complete crossword puzzles, and spend time with her family. 

Juanita first married Sherman Woodcock and he passed away in 1976. She then married Lonal Ray Channel in 1985, and he passed away May 22, 2011. 







Juanita is survived by three daughters, Vicky Baum of Diamond, MO, Debbie Hughes and husband, Robert of Neosho, MO, and Rosie Larrison and husband, Bob of Falcon, MO; three brothers, Kenneth Mahurin of Monett, MO, Willard L. Mahurin, Jr. of Willard, MO, and Larry Mahurin of Granby, MO; seven sisters, Erma Bowling of Fairland, OK, Wilma Hoover of Neosho, MO, Jane Vermillon of Neosho, Pearl Laudermilk of Diamond, MO, Sue Owens, of Granby, Pat Lasiter of Neosho, and Marilyn Kyser of Caney, KS; six grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. In addition to both husbands and her parents, 

Juanita was preceded in death by one son, Sherman Wayne Woodcock in 1997; one granddaughter, Heather Terry; one grandson, Josh Larrison; one sister, Evelyn Williams; and one brother, Roger Mahurin.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Clark Funeral Home, Granby Chapel, Granby, MO with Benjamin Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Granby Memorial Cemetery, Granby. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Phillips, Ryan Phillips, Trevor Hughes, Brady Phillips, Zavier Phillips, and Rex Baum. Friends may call at Clark Funeral Home, Granby Chapel from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 9, 2021; the family will be in attendance to receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The family requests masks be worn during visitation and at funeral service.
