Mary Mason

Mary Ann Mason, 84, of Noel, Missouri departed her life on Sunday, February 28, 2021, in her home in Noel, Missouri, surrounded by loved ones, after a brief illness.

Mary was born November 6, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Ira Ronald (Jack) and Lora Pearl (Riley) Harruff. She grew up in Kirkwood, Missouri. 

She was married to the late Lavern Mason on February 28, 1953. She worked at Carthage Shoe Manufacturing Company and did housework for area residents. 








She lived in the Carthage area until September 30, 1980, then moved to Noel, Missouri when she was united in marriage to the late Theodore Mason. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a fabulous cook and truly a wonderful homemaker. She loved taking care of her home and family. She got along with everyone she met. Her favorite color was blue and her favorite flowers were roses and loved red cardinals. She was a St. Louis Cardinal’s fan and a Kansas City Chiefs fan. She will be truly missed by her family.

She is preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Eugene Harruff (Duffy) and Jim Harruff; two sisters, Sylvia Harruff Miller and Penny Jean Harruff; husbands Lavern Mason and Theodore Mason; a grandson, Daniel Ray Owens; and two great-grandchildren, Brian Owens and Zaylee Armstrong.

She is survived by four children, Eugene Mason and wife, Gaye, of Joplin, Missouri, Steven Mason and wife, Janice, Melanie Owens and husband, Daniel and Carol Armstrong and husband, Derrol, all of Noel Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2021 in the Noel Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Edward Tweedy officiating. Burial will follow in Butler Creek Cemetery. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Derrol Armstrong, Michael Jayne, Travis Owens, Tyler Owens, Vern Mason and Nathen Crittenden with Kyle Jayne, Brandon Armstrong, Rylan Armstrong and Trenton Mason serving as honorary.
