Alvin Coffey

Alvin Delandy Coffey of Miami, OK passed from this life Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Integris Miami Hospital in Miami, OK. He was 90.

Alvin was born June 28, 1931 in Baxter Springs, KS to Alfred D. and Ethel Mae Eva (Goff) Coffey. Alvin had lived in Miami most of his life and graduate from Baxter Springs High School. He had worked at B. F. Goodrich for 18 years and then worked as an office manager and salesman for Southwest Meter in Marshal, TX in the Miami office. Alvin was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Miami, OK for many years and was song leader. He later became a member of Grace Church in Miami, OK.

Alvin was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy Mae Coffey August 12, 1982 and his second wife Naomi Jean Coffey March 19, 2014 and by his parents.

Survivors include 1 son, Alan Coffey of Miami, OK, 1 step-son Randy Mathia of Miami, OK, step-daughter Judy Wachter of Granby, MO, 1 sister Nettie Mae Ludlum and 3 grandchildren, Jennifer, Savannah and Chris.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. Rev. Phil Shyers will officiate. Services have been placed in the care of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK. Online condolences may be made at www.paulthomasfuneralhomes.com.
