Bear Winter

Wayne “Bear” Winter, 71, of Jasper, Missouri passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022 at his home. He was born on July 25, 1950 in Lamar, Missouri to George and Glenna (Gresham) Winter. Bear was a farmer. He was a member of the Carthage Masonic Lodge #197, Abou Ben Adhem Shrine, Carthage Shrine Burn Crew, and the Barton County Shrine Club. Bear was a member of the Jasper Methodist Church.

Survivors include ,two daughters, Kristy Winter (Terry Quarles) of Webb City, MO, and Carrie Osiier of Jasper, MO, three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Adams, Celia Osiier, and Kellen Osiier. He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Paradise Cemetery. Masonic Rites will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. followed by visitation from 6:30 till 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Weng Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to the Bear Winter scholarship fund in care of the funeral home.
