Donna Cox

Donna Jean Cox, age 61, passed away at 8:36 am, Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at her home.

Donna was born September 10, 1960 in Wichita, KS. Her parents were Thomas M and Barbara Sue (Folger) Hopkins. She has lived in Galena most of her life, moving there as a young girl.

She worked at LaBarge in Joplin, MO retiring after 25 years of service. She was a member of Spring Grove Apostolic Faith Church, Galena. She and her family enjoyed going camping and fishing when she was young.

 

Later in life she enjoyed doing anything with her grandkids and still spoiling her own children. Some of her favorite things to do were cooking, chatting with her sisters, driving around with her husband, especially on the motorcycle, and doing anything that involved spending time with her family.

Donna was married to Bryan Keith Cox on June 23, 1977 in Miami, OK. After 44 years of being happily married, he survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Brandon Cox (Stacy), and Brenton Cox (Tiffany) both of Galena; two sisters, Sue Huffman, Galena, and Brenda Hayes, Baxter Springs, KS; and four grandchildren, Madyson Cox, Mason Cox, Quinton Cox and Khloee Cox.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Gayle Conrad (Peewee).

She was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS for cremation. The family will be having a come and go celebration of life on Saturday at the Spring Grove Apostolic Faith Church at 2:00.
