(From Parker Mortuary)Jerry Robert Brizendine, age 75, Asbury, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Landmark Hospital of Joplin.
Jerry was born January 23, 1947 in Neosho, Missouri, son of the late James F. Brizendine and Beulah (Corbin) Brizendine. He grew up in Seneca and graduated from Seneca High School before joining the Army. After his service he worked for years as an independent over the road truck driver. He has owned and operated Semi Trucking, LLC since 1970.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Brizendine; brothers, Joe, Jim, and Jean “Butch”; sisters, Clara Mae Andrews, Vernie Arehart, Barbara Fry, Verba Lee Durbin, and Norma Gallemore.
Survivors include his daughters, Milli Andresen and husband Martin of Manor, Texas, and Carol Humbard of Joplin; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; sisters, Vicki Martin of Neosho, Beulah Stansberry of Joplin; several nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
