Randy Mill

(From Parker Mortuary)

Randy Jay Mill, age 63, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, January 4th, 2023 at his home surrounded by family.

Randy was born on September 19, 1959 in Laramie, Wyoming to the late union of Richard and Vera (Kaneff) Mill. They moved to Aspen, CO for his early childhood before landing in Denver where he took a job with TAMKO.

It was a few short years later when he met and worked with Kris; and his life was forever changed. After being transferred to Salt Lake City and enduring a 9-month long distance relationship, he married the love of his life on September 19, 1998 in Reno, NV at the Silver Bells wedding chapel, where they paid for a virtual witness. ;) Together they were blessed with 24 more amazing years together.

Randy worked at TAMKO for 42 years before retiring in 2022. He enjoyed welding, sporting clays, lumberjacking, pyrotechnics, four-wheeling in the mountains, problem solving, tinkering, and engineering. What mattered most to Randy was his family, especially his grandchildren, and his faith. Randy was an honorable man that will be missed by many.

Randy is survived by his wife, Kris; three children, Ariel Mill, Rian Baker and husband, Brandon, Jared Schweitzer and wife, Lauren; five grandchildren, Jakob, Sammi, Dalton, Axton, and Aizley; and three siblings, Kandy, Andy, and Cindy.

In lieu of flowers, Randy’s wishes were to support childhood sarcoma patients, and by that, the family has set up a “Cancer Fund” in which donations can be taken, for that purpose. See below for the QR Code to donate.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Monday January 9th, 2023 at Greenwood Springs Event Center located at 2957 Greenwood Dr. Joplin, MO 64804 at 11:00 a.m. No Ties Allowed!

Cremation arrangements are under the special care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
