(From Greenfield Funeral Chapel)Lanette Rae Schilling, of Lee’s Summit, MO, departed this life on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the Kansas City Hospice House at the age of 65.
She was born on June 8, 1957, in Lockwood, MO to Elroy and Joetta (Johnson) Schilling. Lanette graduated from Lockwood High School. She also graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in finance.
She worked as a Bank Examiner for the Federal Reserve for approximately 30 years.
Lanette enjoyed gardening. She loved pets, especially her dogs. She loved spending family time with the Wares, the Schillings and her work family during gatherings hosted By Leanna and Doug. She loved being outside and enjoying the sunshine on her deck.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Elroy and Joetta Schilling. Survivors include her fiancé, Wes Ware; one brother, Erryl Schilling and wife Linda; one sister, Leanna Jackson and husband Doug; one niece, Lane Bucane (Aaron); one nephew, Brice Schilling (Brittney); and her great nieces, Poppy and Johnnie; as well as her great-nephews, Aiden and Pike.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the S.P.C.A. or to a local animal shelter. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
