Karen Pyron

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Karen Lynette Galloway Pyron went home to be with the Lord on June 2, 2023, after a lengthy Illness. She was born to Freal and Leona Galloway on July 27, 1951 in Kansas City, MO.

On November 13, 1971, she married Jim Pyron and God gave them over 51 years together.

She leaves behind her husband, two children and five grandchildren. Her son, Dr. Luke Pyron and his wife, Rachel and two children, Lane Pyron and Lance Pyron of Carthage, MO and daughter, Jennifer Pyron Cupp, her husband, Jared Cupp and their children, Madelyn Cupp Brock, Eli Cupp and Lydia Cupp, all of Diamond, MO.

Karen graduated from Missouri Southern University in Joplin. She also attended Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman University) and also Oklahoma Christian University and Harding University. She did Masters work in Psychology at Pittsburg State, but decided not to finish so that she could concentrate on mothering and her family (her greatest joy in life), keeping a Christian home and having time to help others.

She was preceded in death by her father, Freal Galloway. Her mother, Leona lives in Edina, MO. She leaves two sisters, Sherry Todd of Bonner Springs, KS and Belinda Carpenter of Fayetteville, AR and two brothers, Kim Galloway of St. Louis, MO and Brent Galloway of Olathe, KS. In addition, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews survive.

She was a member of the Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ in Neosho, Missouri.

Karen was one of the purest examples of unconditional love you will ever see. She delighted in being able to do things for other people. Everything from food preparation, sewing, making and repairing clothing and especially encouragement.

Her biggest trademark was her big, beautiful smile. Everyone who knew her commented first on that attribute.

She loved the Lord with all her heart, soul and mind and He has taken her home. She is truly missed by all those left behind.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, June 7, 2023 at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, from 5 pm to 6:30 pm. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 1 pm at the Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ. Contributions in memory of Karen may be made to Fairhaven Children's Home, Restoration Life or the Rocketdyne Road Church of Christ Benevolent Fund, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, Missouri 64850.
