(From Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home)Lewis Neal Brown, age 90, of Aurora, Missouri, passed away at 5:00 a.m. on Monday, July 3, 2023, at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. He was born October 18, 1932, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of George and Gladys (Johnson) Brown.
Lewis was a United States Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He worked as a crane operator for Kansas City Steel Company in Kansas City, Kansas and enjoyed playing bingo.
In July of 1957, he married Neva Ellen Page, and she preceded him in death on September 15, 1989. On December 13, 1991, he married Lola Mae Wilson, in Kansas City, Kansas. She preceded him in death on December 18, 2018.
Lewis is survived by one son, Gale Brown and his wife, Carla, of Phillipsburg, Kansas; one daughter, Debra Farris of Lexington, Missouri; two grandchildren, Levi Brown and his wife, Jenny, of Westminster, Colorado and Mandy Brown of Canon City, Colorado; one great-granddaughter, Emilia Brown, of Westminster, Colorado and one sister, Bertha Stevens of Joplin, Missouri.
Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, George, and Gladys; his first wife, Neva; his second wife, Lola; son, Jimmy Tice; daughter, Linda Wilson; six brothers and three sisters.
A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, Missouri.
