Randy Carver

Randall Dean Carver, age 64, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.

Randy (Spanky) was born on June 9, 1959 in Stover, Missouri to William and Janet (Hammerly) Carver. He grew up in Stover and enjoyed his time as the High School Basketball Manager. He later worked in construction and real estate, which he was passionate about.








Randy was always the life of the party, known as a jokester, and a ladies man, he always had a smile on his face. He had never met a stranger and would make friends with anyone.

Randy married Donnett Cornett right out of high school. Of that marriage he and Donnett had Carrie Cornett. Then Randy married Debra Carver (Powell). Randy was married to Debbie for 25 wonderful years until her passing in 2013. 

Randy and Debbie both had children, Carrie and Anita, that they brought to the relationship. They had Beth together after dating and then got married 4 years later.

Randy was a family man, his grandchildren and great grandchildren were the joy of his world. Family was important to Randy. He would go out of his way to ensure that everyone was cared for.

He will be deeply missed by all who have had the honor of knowing him.

Randy was preceded in death by his wonderful wife Debra Carver and his son-in-law Peter Smith.








Survivors include his girlfriend, Marilyn Collins; children, Juanita Smith of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Carrie Timberlake and husband Michael of Kansas City, Missouri, Elizabeth Keeling and husband Kody of Joplin, Missouri; grandchildren, August Allen, Zachery Smith, Michaela Timberlake, Donovan Smith, Olivia McFarland, Lewis McFarland, Cassidee Timberlake, Jayden Utter, Ashton Smith, Rowdy Utter, Odin Keeling, and Easton Keeling; great-grandchildren, Isabelle McFarland-Stigall (mother Maddy Sigall) and Nyla Timberlake (father Austin Abell). Also survived by his mother Janet (Cookie) Carver. His father William (Bill) Carver. His sister Ranee James. His Brothers Rusty Carver and wife Linda and Ricky Carver and wife Debbie. He is also survived by countless other family members.

Arrangements will be announced at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
