Mona Usher

Mona B. Usher, 80, of Sarcoxie Missouri, went to be with Jesus, family members and friends on Saturday, February 17, 2024.

Mona was born on December 28, 1943, in Pocahontas, Arkansas to the late Arvil and Edna (Grimes) Nichols. She married Donald F. Massey in June 1960 and had 6 children. They lived in the St. Louis MO area. She married Thomas C. Usher in April 1991. They settled in Sarcoxie MO in 1997. 








Together they were OTR Truck Drivers and School Bus Drivers for the Sarcoxie School System. They were foster parents for many children and ultimately adopted David. She enjoyed working in her yard, scrapbooking, crossword puzzles, reading and studying her Bible. They were members of Blake Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas C. Usher; siblings, James Nichols, John Nichols, Charlie Nichols, Edward (Cobbie) Nichols, Louise Ellington, Eugene Nichols, Harold Nichols, Margaret Brown and Evelene Swift; children, Stephen P. Massey, Mary Anne Massey, Donna J. Goggin and Leonard F. Massey.

Mona is survived by her sibling, William (Pete) Nichols; children, Diana Meehan, Wilbert Massey; stepchildren, David Usher, Beth Usher, Mandy Usher, Melissa Griffon; grandchildren, Michael Goggin, Christopher Goggin, Joshua Goggin, Jorden Massey, David Meehan, Jessica Crandall, Kristyn Eye, Karolyn Brewer; great-grandchildren, Ethan Pope, Russell Eye, Cora Goggin and Levitt Crandall; Special family friends, Mary Filbeck, James Filbeck, Brother Jerry Mayfield and all Mona’s sisters and brothers in Christ at Blake Baptist Church.








Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, Missouri. Brother Jerry Mayfield from Blake Baptist Church will be officiating the service. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
