Bob Davidson

(From Parker Mortuary)

Robert E. “Frisco Bob” Davidson, age 86, Joplin, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 surrounded by family.

Bob was born November 28, 1937 in Greensburg, KS, son of the late Raymond Peerson Davidson and Mildred Ruby (Simpson) Davidson. He grew up in Joplin and graduated from Joplin High School in 1955. He then went to Joplin Junior College before receiving his RPh Degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City in 1960.

He worked as a Registered Pharmacist at Frisco Pharmacy, established by his father in 1946, until selling the business in 2007. Then several years following, he was a relief pharmacist for Price Cutter Pharmacy, Webb City Medicine Shoppe, and various other pharmacies in the greater area, until retiring in 2020 after 60 years of Pharmacy practice. He always appreciated and enjoyed the many loyal customers he served and who followed him after the sale of Frisco Pharmacy. Bob and his family would like to extend gratitude to all of those faithful followers.

He was a former member of the Joplin Jaycees where he served as President, and a founding member of the local Ducks Unlimited Chapter. Hunting, fishing, snow skiing, and playing poker were his favorite past times, and he always enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by many.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Jack Davidson, and Donald Dean Davidson; a sister, Mary Ruth Davidson; sisters-in-law, Jody Davidson and JoAnn Davidson.

He is survived by his wife, Laveta (Beezley) Davidson; his children, Bob Davidson, Jr. (Terri) of Joplin; Leslie Lohse (David Miller) of Joplin; Leisha Spencer (David) of Trinity, FL; Pam Duncan of Waco, TX, and Pete Ruestman (Mannette) of Grove, OK; grandchildren, Kristin Modini, Heather Ward, Layne Winker, Summer Davidson, Haven Patton, Ashleigh Prothro and Bailey Stribley; great-grandchildren, Reagan, Knox, Harper, Lennon, Mikayla, Cooper, Max, J.J., Teddy, Henry, and James, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bob wishes a fond farewell to his coffee group and poker buddies.
