(From Clark Funeral Home)Boyd Trulsom Pippin, age 91, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025. He was born on January 8, 1934, in Ashland, Kentucky, to Cecil and Jennie (Crance) Pippin. Boyd was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War.
On February 14, 1968, Boyd married Sarah Ann Lankford in Joplin, Missouri. Together, they built a life full of love and cherished memories until her passing on May 26, 2018. Boyd was also preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Edyth “Dee Dee” Kirklin, and his parents.
Boyd worked as an electrician in maintenance for Lozier for many years before retiring. He was a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church, where he found comfort and fellowship. In his free time, Boyd enjoyed woodworking, crafting beautiful pieces that he lovingly gave as gifts to family and friends.
He is survived by his two grandsons, Jesse DeGonia and Tracy DeGonia, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who will deeply miss his presence and kindness.
Visitation will be held on March 6, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Clark Funeral Home - Chapel of Memories, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM. Randy Bishop will officiate the service. A graveside service will follow at Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery. Boyd will be laid to rest with full military honors conducted by the Missouri Funeral Honors Program.
Pallbearers will include Levi Buerge, David Ellis, Travis Ritter, and Bryan Partain.
