(From Clark Funeral Home)Deloris Jewel Sartin, a devoted mother, grandmother, and lifelong resident of the area, passed away peacefully at her home in Neosho, Missouri on May 7, 2025, at the age of 90.
Born on January 23, 1935, in Wentworth, Missouri, Deloris was the daughter of Murrel and Dovie (Poague) Prock. She grew up in the Diamond area and was a proud graduate of Diamond High School. In 1953, she married the love of her life, Harlin Sartin, and they shared their lives together until his passing in 1965.
Deloris was a dedicated homemaker and a woman of strong faith. She was an active member of Diamond First Baptist Church. Her creativity and craftsmanship were evident in her love for woodworking—she enjoyed building everything from miniature furniture to full-sized pieces. She also had a deep love for the outdoors, especially camping trips with her family, and found her greatest joy in time spent with loved ones.
She is survived by her two daughters, Debbie (Dale) Renfro and Brenda (Gary) Moon, both of Neosho, Missouri; a sister, Mary Lou Lancaster of Diamond, Missouri; six grandchildren: Shannon (Tonia) Moon, Misty Moon, Kevin Moon, Luke (Meghan) Renfro, Jaime Williams, and Aaron (Natalie) Renfro; 18 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Deloris was preceded in death by her husband Harlin Sartin, her parents Murrel and Dovie Prock, a grandson-in-law Bobby Williams, and two great-grandchildren, Triston Linehan and Cody Shaver.
A visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Hilldale Baptist Church in Neosho, Missouri, with funeral services to follow at 10:30 a.m., also at Hilldale Baptist Church.
Deloris will be remembered for her kind heart, her talents, and the deep love she had for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, creativity, and faith.
