Isaac Michael Garrity, age 25 of Joplin, MO passed away on October, 30 2014.
He was born on October 17, 1989 in Springfield, MO the son of Mike Thompson and Danielle Garrity. Isaac loved sports especially The Kansas City Chiefs and Royals and rooted for any Missouri team. He enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors.
Survivors include his mother Danielle Garrity and husband Mike Thompson of Joplin, two brothers: Dylan Thompson and Mathew Garrity; Maternal grandparents Mike Garrity and Judith Kellenberger.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday November 5, 2014 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory. Cremation will follow with private family inurnment at a later date. The family suggests contributions to the Boys and Girls Club of southwest Missouri in care of the Mortuary.

Art Force
Arthur Rex “Art” Force, age 94, of Lamar, passed away Thursday evening, October 30, 2014 at Truman Healthcare Center where he had been a resident for the past several weeks.
Art was born August 25, 1920, in Carthage, Missouri, the youngest of the four children of Arthur and Edith (Castor) Force. After graduating from Jasper High School, he worked as a carpenter until joining the Army in 1942. As a soldier in the 4th Armored Division, Art served in Normandy, North France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe, was wounded and awarded the Purple Heart, five Bronze Stars, and the Distinguished Unit Badge. He was a member of Lamar VFW Post 3691 and Disabled American Veterans.
Working in the construction industry, Art was a batch man and truck driver for a concrete plant. After retiring, he had time to devote to music. As a talented, self-taught fiddle player, he played with various groups, including “Barely Able”. He was a member of First Christian Church of Lamar.
On October 26, 1952, at Joplin, Missouri, Art married Anna Belle Crossland and they had celebrated nearly 49 years together before her death March 29, 2001. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sandra K. Mitchell; a brother, Earl Force; and two sisters, Anna Southern, and Mae Knapp.
Survivors include a step-daughter, Dee Gage, Lamar; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nephews Lloyd (Karen) Southern, Carl Junction, Missouri and Robert (Connie) Southern, Raytown, Missouri; and nieces Carolyn Depue, Fairland, Oklahoma, Clara Faye Jackson, Carl Junction, and Gail (Owen) Taylor, Manchester, Missouri; and a large extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am. Monday, November 3rd, 2014, at Daniel Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will be in Lake Cemetery.
Contributions are suggested to Barton County Senior Center or Lamar First Christian Church in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
William Norris
William “Pooter” Norris, 41, Carthage, passed away Sunday evening October 26, 2014 after a sudden illness. William “Pooter” Norris was born on March 17, 1973 in Carthage, MO, the son of Rudy Jack Norris and Mary Hinsdale. He married Misty Gardner on March 7, 2010. William was a member of the Joplin Full Gospel Church in Joplin, MO and also attended the River Street Gathering in Carthage. William was a soft hearted man who loved Jesus with all his heart and didn't know a stranger. He spent his years working for Leggett and Platt and also Carthage Health and Rehab doing manual labor.
Survivors include his wife; Misty Gardner, Carthage, his parents; a son; William Carl Norris Jr., Carthage, a daughter; Ashley Rachael Norris, Joplin, two sisters; Mary Parker, Carthage, and Cordelia Thompson, Carthage, and two brothers; James Riddle, (wife Brandi), Joplin, Rudy Jack Norris Jr.,Carthage, and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014, 3:00 PM at Reeds Cemetery, Reeds, MO. There will be a memorial after the service at the River St. Gathering 210 N. River St. at 4:30. Jack Cameron
Jack Edward Cameron, 82, Carthage Missouri, died peacefully with family by his side October 26, 2014.
He was born in Orchardville, Illinois December 13, 1931 to Button Vincent and Lydia Ann Cameron. Jack was known for his entrepreneurial and daring spirit. He lived in the Denver, Colorado area from 1933 to 1974 on a large family farm and airport. Jack married Rosemary Roper in 1951 and they had three children, Jan, Jack and Rod Cameron. Jack was a farmer, dairyman, Army Sergeant during the Korean War, Post office sorter on trains, private pilot, commercial carpenter, home builder, property developer, Carthage City Councilman and worked in other Public Service positions. Jack owned and operated Cameron Construction, rural Carthage for the past 40 years.
Jack leaves his family to mourn his passing: his spouse, Dottie Heady-Cameron of the home; daughter, Jan Goode (Bob Wilson), Des Moines, IA; sons, Jack and Rod Cameron of Denver Colorado; six grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; his brother, Jim (Kathy) Cameron, Joplin; sister-in-law Etta Runyan, Carthage and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother – Button and Lydia Cameron, his brothers, Jerdie (Smokie) Cameron and Robert Gunther both of Sarcoxie Missouri.

Marion Thrasher
Marion F. Thrasher 95, formerly of Neck City, MO, passed away Oct. 28, 2014 at Conway HealthCare Rehab Center in Conway, AR. Marion was born April 24, 1919 in Gravette, AR to the late Eddie Carl Thrasher and Myra Gertrude Jessie Thrasher. He was preceded in death by his wife Naomi Ferguson Thrasher of 25 years, his parents, two brothers, Paul and David Thrasher, one sister Anna Mae Rock, two stepson's Jim Mann and Jerry Mann, one step daughter Judy Huff, and Ruby Beck, Mount Vernon, AR.
Marion was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran. He also farmed, was a truck driver and retired from the Carthage Street Department in 1985. Survivors include a daughter; Janie Carroll (Gene) Free, Mt. Vernon, AR; four brothers; John Thrasher, Spring Valley, CA, Frank and Jack (Viola) Thrasher, Lamar, MO and Doug (Gerri) Thrasher, Cartersville, Georgia; two granddaughters, Kerry Free and Laurie (Dan) Geisler, Mt. Vernon, AR; one great grandson, Andrew Geisler, Mt. Vernon, AR, several nieces and nephews, and his extended family of caregivers at Conway HealthCare and Rehab Center.

Edith M. “Edie” Nicholson, age 62, of Springfield, Mo. a former Webb City resident, passed away at 12:46 p.m. Monday, October 27, 2014 at her home in Springfield.
Edie was born September 7, 1952 in Joplin, Mo. She was raised in Webb City and was a 1970 graduate of Webb City High School. She graduated from Missouri Southern State University in 1975. Edie was employed as a Medical Technician, working at Mercy Hospitals in Joplin and Springfield, Hillcrest Hospitals in Tulsa, Ok., and the Smith-Glyn-Calloway Clinic in Springfield. Edie was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Webb City.
Survivors include her Mother, Isabelle Moss, Webb City, a step brother, O.J. Moss, two step sisters, Helen Louise Hoover (Larry), and Catherine Anderson, a sister in law, Martha Nicholson-Clark (Tommy), an aunt, Helen Johns, an uncle, Bill Duensing (Twyla), nieces, Michele, Angela, and Elizabeth, step nieces, Cynthia, and Ginger, and step nephews, Grant, Jeff, Wardell, and Jamal. She was preceded in death by her Father, Boyd Nicholson, her Step Father, Oliver Moss, a brother, John Nicholson III, an uncle, Ted Johns, and a step nephew, Gary.
Memorial graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Mt. Hope Cemetery open air chapel with Rev. Bob Easton officiating. Memorial contributions are requested to the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home in care of First Baptist Church of Webb City or the Funeral Home.

Helene Willis
Helene E. Willis, 90, of Joplin, MO, died October 28, 2014, at NHC Healthcare, her home since June of 2011.
She was born August 12, 1924, in Soldier, IA, the daughter of Efraim and Clara Jensen.
Helene graduated from Soldier High School in Soldier, IA, and then attended the Commercial Extension Business College in Omaha, NE. Following graduation in 1943, Helene began working in public relations and payroll at the Glenn L. Martin Bomber Plant in Omaha.
Helene met Warren Willis, her future husband and lifelong partner, through her brother, Harv Jensen. Both Harv and Warren served in World War II as Marine Corps pilots in the Pacific theater. Following Warren’s discharge from service, he and Helene were married in Omaha on January 5, 1946.
They then moved to Manhattan, KS, where Warren resumed his studies in civil engineering. Upon Warren’s graduation from Kansas State University in 1947, Warren’s engineering jobs took them to Atlantic, IA; Iola, KS; Belmond, IA; and finally to Marshalltown, IA, which became home base for the family. Warren and Don Thompson formed a civil engineering firm known as Thompson, Willis & Company in Marshalltown, and Helene was an officer in the company.
Helene was a member of P.E.O. in Marshalltown, she served on the local Mental Health Board and several other volunteer organizations, and she was a foster mother to a number of children. She taught Bible school at the Congregational Church; and she and Warren enjoyed playing bridge with friends, listening to music, and family camping trips each summer. Helene enjoyed sewing and crocheting and, like her mother, found peace in playing the family organ.
Helene and Warren decided to leave the snow behind and retired to Heber Springs, AR, in 1976. They moved to Pharr and Edinburgh, TX, in 1982 where they found more sunshine and became accomplished ballroom dancers. They also traveled to visit family, and in 2001 they moved closer to family in Joplin, MO.
Helene valued her family above all else. She and Warren were good role models for their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Both stressed the importance of education, work ethic, and good family values.
Survivors include daughters Janet Willis Weidner of Colorado Springs and Angela Willis Patton of Berryville, AR, and sons-in-law Claus Weidner and Greg Patton. Helene’s four sons are Keith Willis of Clovis, CA; Dale Willis of Ogden, UT; Dean Willis of Joplin, MO, and daughter-in-law Beth; and Wayne Willis of Loveland, CO, and daughter-in-law JoAnn. Helene was grandmother to 14 and great grandmother to 22 children. She has a brother and sister-in-law living in CA – Harv and Joyce Jensen, and a sister-in-law, Shirley West, in IA.
Helene was preceded in death by Warren in 2013; her parents; three brothers, Arnold, Leland, and Marion Jensen; and a sister Irma Sankey.
Plans are underway for a family memorial service in Kirwin, KS. She will be laid to rest alongside Warren in the Kirwin Cemetery.
Memories of Helene may be shared with her family via their daughter, Janet Willis Weidner of Colorado Springs, CO.

Terri Barkau
Terri Sutton Barkau, age 71, of Joplin, passed away on Tuesday October 28, 2014, following an illness.
Terri was born on October 21, 1943, in Fort Dix, N.J., the daughter of the late Col. Francis N. Sutton and Alyss (Greer) Sutton. She graduated from Fullerton Junior College. She worked as a key punch operator for Armco Steel Company.
She married Bill Mobley in 1967 and he preceded her in death in 2004. She married Melvin Barkau in 1986 and he preceded her in death in 1999. Terri lived most her life in southern California and Arizona, moving to Missouri in 2002 to be near her son. Terri was active in many organizations and especially enjoyed volunteering for Relay for life and the freeman advantage group. She was a member of the South Joplin Christian Church. She is survived by one son, Mark Mobley and his wife Mary, Joplin; her partner and dear friend, Jim Kelley, Joplin; three step-children; and ten step-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Terri’s life will be held on November 16th at 2:00 p.m. at her home. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a contribution be made to the American Cancer Society in her honor

Wayne was born May 28, 1934 in Reeds, Missouri to Bethual Zedoc Sanders and Sarah Elizabeth (Smith) Sanders. Wayne started working at the age of 16 for local farmers, at age 18 for Yukes Tire, Carthage Marble, MoKan concrete and Faubion Tank Company for 10 years; Wayne owned and operated Wayne’s Place. He was a crossing guard for the R-9 school district for 10 years. Wayne attended several county schools in the Reeds and Carthage area. Wayne was a hard working good ole’ boy that loved his children.
Wayne was united in marriage to Patricia Joann Barker June 23, 1972 in Carthage, MO, she preceded him in death in 2004. Wayne is survived by two daughters Sandy Coffman of Carthage and Crystal Pettengill of Carthage, one step-daughter Nancy Wiles of Webb City, two sons Rocky Sanders of Mt Burg, Arkansas, Jim Sanders of Carterville and two step-sons Billy Bayless Jr. and Tom Bayless both of Carthage. 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, four brothers Herman (Doc) Sanders of Joplin, Clifford Sanders of Kansas City, MO, Ronald (Cotton) Sanders of Carthage, Alvin (Dutch) Sanders of Kansas City, MO. Wayne is preceded by his parents, his wife, two sons Tim Sanders and Johnny Sanders, two sisters Juanita Stewart and Alene (Pete) Franklin.

Lloyd Ray Bethel, 88, of Joplin, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Freeman Hospital. Lloyd was born August 7, 1926, in Bristow, Oklahoma, son of the late Arley and Margaret Little Bethel. Lloyd attended Mountain Grove High School. After graduating from high school in 1944, he enlisted in the Army Air Corp, serving in WWII. He attended Oklahoma A&M College in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and the Missouri School of Mines & Metallurgy in Rolla, Missouri. After college, he served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Lloyd married Wanda L. Ramsey on March 13, 1954.
Upon finishing his duties with the military, he was employed by the Federal Aviation Administration in Kansas City, and later transferred to Joplin, Missouri, where he worked with the regional airports in support of the radar systems and electronics. He retired in 1976. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and the Abou Ben Adhem Shriners. He also was active with the Boy Scouts for thirty years, receiving the Golden Sun Award and the Silver Beaver Award for his service and support to Scouting. He spent many days and weekends working with the boys at Frank Childress Scout Camp. He was of the Methodist faith.
Lloyd was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene Bethel and Eddie Bethel. Survivors include Lloyd’s wife Wanda, his daughter Julie Cox and her husband Fred Cox of Joplin, two grandsons, Graham Cox and his wife Brittany of Webb City, and Garrett Cox of Joplin, and a brother Bob Bethel and wife Fern of West Plains, Missouri.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Veteran’s Memorial Garden at Mount Hope Cemetery in Webb City, with Pastor Bob Dart officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary and Mount Hope Cemetery.

Donald Davenport
Donald Fredrick Davenport, age 46 of Joplin, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin after a sudden illness.
Donald was born January 2, 1968 to Donald E. Davenport and Nola Haynes Russow in Billings, Montana. Shortly after that he moved to the Joplin area where he has resided most of his life. Donald was a man of all trades in construction. He graduated from Seneca High School and then attended Crowder College. Donald believed in God and was a Christian.
On May 7, 2011, Donald married Malissa Watkins in Joplin, Mo. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include his mother, Nola Russow of Joplin; sons, Cody Ritter, Ezekiel ‘Sneaker’ Perez, Ed Perez, all of Joplin; daughters, Kylie Davenport, Tabitha Watkins and Jessica Watkins, all of Joplin; grandchild, Gracie Lynn "Gidgit" Watkins; sisters, Shelly Favors and husband Mike of Joplin, Margaret Greninger and husband Jim of Quapaw, OK; brother, Joe Davenport of Joplin.
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald E. Davenport, brothers, Jim and Bill Davenport; sister, Debra Osborne and one nephew Shane Kirklin.
A graveside service is planned for Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at Hornet Cemetery. Bishop Dan Belnap will be officiating and Brother Dave Richins will be speaking. Brother Ed Hinds will be dedicating the grave.
A benefit dinner will be held for Donald Davenport at the Hornet Community Building to raise donations on Thursday, October 30th at 3:00 p.m. and last throughout the evening.

Mary Margaret Records, 87, Joplin, formerly of Neosho, died October 28, 2014, in Joplin, following a short illness.
She was born July 9, 1927 in Granby, the daughter of James Elbert and Hester Olive (Hurst) Wallace. Margaret lived most of her life in the Oswego and Neosho area and worked in retail sales. She was an avid bowler and was a member of the Red Hat Society, the VFW Auxiliary and Fellowship Baptist Church.
Margaret was married to George W. Records and he preceded her in death on April 11, 1984. She is survived by two sons, David Records and wife, Kelly of Bakersfield, California and Steve Records of Oswego; a son-in-law, Gary McDowell and wife, Beverly of Oswego; three sisters, Betty Ensor of Joplin, Yonavie Hierholzer of Seneca and Peggy Keatts of Joplin; seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Georgeann McDowell, three brothers and two sisters.

Charles Foster
Charles E. Foster, 76, Granby, died October 26, 2014 in Joplin, following an illness.
Mr. Foster was born March 22, 1938 in Granby, the son of Ray and Willa Jean (Sanders) Foster. He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the U.S. Air Force as Master Sargeant. He enjoyed traveling the world and was an avid sports fan.
Charles married his wife, Sondra on August 28, 1985 and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Deborah Carter and fiance, Derrell Smith and Carla Rich and husband, Scott, who reside in Texas; six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Isaiah Crow
Isaiah Asampua Crow was welcomed into Heaven on October 26, 2014 at the age of 6, by his sister, Grace K. Crow and paternal grandfather, Truman J. Crow.
Isaiah was born July 17, 2008 in Vea, Ghana, West Africa. He came home to his adoptive family in June, 2011. Isaiah enjoyed kindergarten at Goodman Elementary School and loved his church family at Splitlog Baptist Church in Goodman.
He is survived by his parents, Chad and Becca Crow; one brother, Caleb and two sisters, Emily and Olivia of the home in Goodman; maternal grandparents, Paul and Kathy Bradford; paternal grandparents, Eileen and Jerry Engle and maternal great grandparents, Roy and Mary Jane Bradford and Jack and Vesta Bowyer and numerous other family.

Harvey Richardson
Harvey Edward Richardson, 88, Joplin, died October 26, 2014 in Mt. Vernon, following a lengthy illness.
Harvey was born May 21, 1926 in Granby, the son of Erastus and Esther Lucretia (Gibbons) Richardson. He was a lifelong area resident and worked for Joplin Piano for over 30 years as well as being self employed as a piano technician. Harvey served in the US Army Air Corp and was a member of Frisco Church.
He married Florene Brock on March 1, 1947 in Webb City and she survives. Also surviving are a son, Denis Richardson and wife, Candace of Richmond, Texas; two daughters, Diane Smith and husband, Kervyn of Joplin and Renita Massey and husband, Terry of Midlothian, Texas; two brothers, John Richardson of Blackrock, Arkansas and Jack Richardson of Denison, Texas; three sisters, Easter Wells of Kansas City, Missouri, Mary Durham of Austin, Texas and Ann Crosby of Joplin; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by a granddaughter and thirteen brothers and sisters.

Thelma Butler age 89, Hermann, Mo, formerly of Joplin, Mo, passed away Saturday October 25, 2014 following a short illness.
She was born October 10, 1925 in Bakersfield, Mo to Henry and Erah (Evans) Provow. She was a housewife and was also self-employed in the cleaning industry. She was a member of The Living Church of God and was very active with the church.
Thelma married Herschel Butler on January 7, 1978 in Springfield, Mo and he survives. Additional survivors include one daughter; Bernadine Gerhardt and husband Phillip, Springfield, Mo, one son Densel Kimbrough and wife Star, Springfield, Mo, three step sons; Herschel Butler and wife Pamela, Hermann, Mo, Robert Butler and wife Rhonda, St. Louis, Mo, David Butler, Atlanta, Ga, and numerous grand and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Sharon Kimbrough, three brothers, Ernest Provow, Paul Provow, Byrum Provow and three sisters; Dortha Hall, Joyce Anderson, and Laura.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary Chapel with Karl Beyersdorfer, Minister, officiating, Burial will follow at the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the mortuary.

John Wyrick
John Junior Wyrick, 90, Neosho, died October 25, 2014 at Freeman Neosho following an illness.
He was born September 9, 1924 in Wyandotte, Oklahoma, the son of John and Maude (Akers) Wyrick. John was a lifelong area resident and worked as a supervisor for the Missouri State Highway Department for 31 years, retiring in 1986. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and built stock cars.
John married Eva Mae (Wilma) Brock on May 30, 1943 in Miami, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death on February 1, 2013. He is survived by three children, Jesstine Ball, Granby, MO, Larry Wyrick, Baxter Springs, KS and Donna Sageser, Kansas City, MO; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, John is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and five sisters.

Freda B. Carr, 81, of Girard, passed away at 6:53 p.m. Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the Girard Medical Center.
She was born March 13, 1933 at Gross, Kansas, the daughter of James Ted and Evelyn Naomi (Foltz) Smith. She graduated from College High. On December 20, 1950, she was united in marriage to E. Eugene Carr at the Nazarene Church in Pittsburg. Mrs. Carr was a homemaker. Membership was held in the Mount Olive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene Carr of the home; five sons, David Carr and his wife, Kathy of Girard, KS, Jeff Carr and his wife, Janet of Riverton, KS, Allen Carr and his wife, Donna of Joplin, MO, Ronald Carr and his wife, Angie of Fort Scott, KS, and Donald Carr and his wife, Amy of Neosho, MO; two daughters, Debra Boyd and her husband, Daniel of Lenexa, KS and Janet Ashbacher and her husband, Mike of Arma, KS; a brother, Kenneth Smith and his wife, Debby of Woodstock, GA; and a sister, Greta Bone and her husband, Hervey of Girard, KS; sixteen grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers, Raymond Smith, Jim Smith, Jerry Smith, and Rollin Smith, Sr.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 30) at the Mount Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Girard City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Brenner Mortuary, where friends may call after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday. Nancy was born November 5, 1951 in Neosho, the daughter of Lyman Wesley and Ina Agnes (Davenport) Ezell and was a lifelong area resident. Nancy was a homemaker and enjoyed arts and crafts and gardening.
She married Bobby Andrews on October 11, 2009 and he survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Mary Ann Lugo and husband, Lynn; two stepsons, Robert Andrews and Victor Andrews; two brothers, Delmer Ezell and wife, Phyllis and Tony Ezell and wife, Beverly; one sister, Darlene Taylor; three grandchildren, Jared Shoemaker, Jessica Andrews and Danielle Andrews. Tylin Smith
Tylin James Smith, age 20, Joplin, passed away at 4:58 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2014 from injuries he sustained in a two vehicle accident Northwest of Joplin.
Tylin was born March 24, 1994 in Wauseon, Ohio to Matthew Smith and Kimberley Robinson Smith and had lived in Joplin the past 13 years.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle; competing with his brother on XBOX and spending as much time as he could with his daughter, Tru.
Tylin is survived by his mother, Kimberley Smith, Joplin; his brother, Dravin Randall, Joplin; his father, Mathew Smith, West Unity, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Jim and Peggy Robinson, Fayette, Ohio; paternal grandparents, Bill and Deb Smith, West Unity, Ohio; his daughter, Tru Leigh Tilton and her mother, Ashton, Joplin; and several other extended family members and many friends.
Services are planned for Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Howard Nunnely will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.

Robert was born September 1, 1930 in Leavenworth, Kansas. He moved to Joplin in 1990 from Houston, Texas where he was involved in Heavy Equipment Transportation for the U. S. Govt. Robert attended the Webb City Church of the Nazarene. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II., and previously served in the U. S. Coast Guard. He was active in American Legion, V.F.W., and D.A.V., serving as Past Commander for both American Legion and V.F.W. locally, as well as holding State Offices in those organizations.
Robert married Helen Louise Rowell April 12, 1961 in Houston, Texas and she survives. Additional survivors include a sister, Jeanine Dedrickson, Joplin, Mo. Robert was preceded in death by two brothers.
Robert’s wishes were to be cremated. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Webb City Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Nathan Haeck officiating. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home and Crematory of Webb City, Mo.

Dean Denham
Harold Dean Denham, age 63 of Carl Junction, MO, passed away at his home at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2014, after an illness of a few months.
Born September 23, 1951 in Greensboro, NC, he was the son of the late Harold Lloyd Denham and Leona B. Sanders Denham. Dean retired in 2013 as a Quality Technician with F.A.G. Bearings with over 39 years of service. He received his Associate Degree from M.S.S.U. in computer assisted manufacturing technology in spring of 2013. He was a Christian. A talented guitarist, he played with the Raging River Band and Elk River Band. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and R.V.ing.
On July 5, 1986, he married Stephanie Beck in Joplin. She survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Josh Denham and wife Crystal of Springdale, AR; his mother, Lea Denham of Joplin; his sister, Sherry Denham Johnson and husband Larry of Joplin; his granddaughter, Audrey Denham of Springdale; numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Osborne Memorial Cemetery with Chaplain Ed Hahn officiating. Pallbearers will be Tony Metheny, Craig Immesote, Dave Stewart, Mark Jacobs, Larry Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Justin Bawl and Ron Daughtery. Following the graveside, family and friends are invited to an informal reception at McClelland Park. Visitation will be Monday at Parker Mortuary from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Audrey Denham Scholarship Fund, in care of Parker Mortuary, for his granddaughter’s education.

Willis Gene Jeffers, 84, Purdy, MO, passed away Wednesday evening, October 22, 2014 at Mercy Hospital Cassville. Willis was born on December 22, 1929 in Carthage, MO to Willis John Jeffers and Erma Linder. On September 19, 1959 he married Mabel Lavenia White, they were married for 47 years before her passing in 2006. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea. Willis retired in 1988 from Flexolaters and also spent many years farming. He was a lifetime member of Blake Baptist Church and was a current member of New Site Baptist Church in Monett, MO.
Survivors include one daughter; Lavenia Wood (husband Darrin), Purdy, MO, one son; Willis Dean Jeffers (wife Kimberley), Phoenix, AZ, one sister; Gaylene Harp, Phoenix, AZ, and three grandchildren; Tori Wood, Kylie Wood, and Elizabeth Arnold.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mabel, and one brother, David Dean Jeffers.

Tottie Ford, age 54, of Lamar, MO died unexpectedly Sunday, October 19, 2014.
Tottie was born March 5, 1960 at Martinez, CA to Floyd Dennis Clark and Naomi Lavonne (McConaughey) Clark. On July 8, 2014 she married Robert Gene Lawrence Sr. at Lamar. She worked as Dietary Manager for Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Lockwood, MO. She enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and looking for arrow heads.
Tottie leaves behind one son, Joseph Rowell of Lamar, MO; three daughters, Lisa Claybough of Lamar, Amanda Stevens of Burges, MO, and Tina Haines of Springfield, MO; two step-sons, Robert (Brandi) Lawrence Jr., of Lamar, and Robert Voyles of Pontotoc, MS; two step-daughters, Carli Moore of Lamar, and Jennifer (Tito) Fernandez of Maui, HI; two brothers, Don (Linda) McConaughey of Liberal, MO and Billy Wayne (Kim) Clark of Carl Junction, MO; two sisters, Linda (Don) Volkman of Lamar, and Lena (Neil) Winters of Washington, DC; 20 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, an infant son, Keith Rowell, and a daughter, Marsha Ford in 2006.

He was born August 26, 1949 in Joplin, Mo to Clarence and Mary Jeanett (Henson) VonPaige. Robert was employed as a customer service representative with Cardinal Scale Manufacturing, Webb City, Mo and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his mother and one sister Jean Ann Wray and husband Tom, Republic, Mo. He was preceded in death by his father. Memorial services will be held at a later date. The family request contributions to the American Cancer Society in care of the mortuary.

Mary was born September 28, 1950 in Webb City, Mo. to the late Henry Marvin and Clara Elizabeth Williams Martin. Throughout her life she worked as a nurse and a waitress in the Joplin area.
She is survived by one daughter, Trina Napier of Joplin; sons, Jerry Hughey of Tulsa, OK., Michael Napier and wife Brandi of Cabool, Mo., James Napier of Joplin; sisters, Henrietta St. Marie of Carterville, Alberta Owens and Marva Chambers, both of Southwest City, Mo.
Mary is preceded in death by one brother, Henry Martin.
A graveside service is planned for 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2014 at the Carterville Cemetery.

Christy LaDue
Christine R. “Christy” LaDue, age 56 of Joplin, passed away at 9:25 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at her home.
Born April 1, 1958 in Lamar, CO, she grew up in Lake of the Ozarks and was a 1976 graduate of School of the Osage High School in Osage Beach, MO. She received her Bachelor Degree in Social Work from Missouri State University in Springfield. She had lived in Joplin the past 22 years. For ten years she was a sales person for the former Check Office Supplies, earning sales lead honors. She has been a salesperson at Shamrock Bolt and Screw for the past 22 years. A Christian, she loved to talk to others about the Lord, particularly women who have experienced abuse. One of her greatest passions was serving as co-owner of Covenant Motorcycle Ministry, a nationwide ministry.
On November 24, 1998, she married Charles Francis (Chuck) LaDue, Sr. at Bentonville, AR. He survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Dean McCowan of Mokane, MO; four sons, Colby Glen Newman and wife Meleony, USAF stationed at Fort Meade, MD, Charles F. LaDue, Jr., Sean Patrick LaDue, and Matthew Logan LaDue, Sr., all of Joplin; five grandchildren, Charles Michael LaDue, Jordin Leigh McDonald, Dredon Lee Watson, Matthew Logan LaDue, Jr., Andrew Robert Newman; her father, Jay Whitney and wife Zoe Lynn of Kaiser, MO; her mother, Judy Cook and husband Ralph of Cedar City, UT; four siblings, Lisa Kay Weir and husband William of Nixa, MO, Cory Dean Whitney and wife Laura of Lenexa, KS, Deana Lynn Gum and husband Aaron of Blue Springs, MO, Katrina (Katie) Ranee Whitney of Springfield.

Keet was born on March 19, 1946 in Culver City, Ca., the son of the late Charles Keet Huthsing, Jr. and Norma E. (Epperson) Huthsing. He married Mary Tomei on August 10, 1965 in Libertyville, Il. Together they raised four children. He has been a resident of Joplin for the past twenty years moving here from Libertyville, Il. He owned and operated his own construction company. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Keet was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Keet is survived by two sons, Richard Huthsing, and Jon Huthsing and wife Liz, all of Joplin; one daughter, Bridget Sparlin and husband Ron, Joplin; his mother Norma E. Huthsing, Carthage, Mo.; one brother, Henry Huthsing, Carthage, Mo.; one sister Karen Watkins and husband Ken, Tyler, Tx.; and eight grandchildren, Tanner, Hannah, Tyler, Colton, Hunter, Kate, Cameron, and Gabe. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Amber Huthsing-Gripp; and a brother, Fritz Huthsing.

Martha was born September 4, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri, daughter of the late Neal Ferguson and Ruth Callahan Ferguson. She attended St. Francis Catholic Grade School, and graduated from Bishop-Hogan High School of Kansas City in 1946. While working for Hallmark Cards for several years, she met Francis Joseph Frey, and they were married on February 9, 1952 in Kansas City where the couple made their home. Upon their retirement, they moved to Grove, Oklahoma in 1989.
Martha was devoted to her Catholic Faith, and many charities. While in Grove she was an active member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, and also of the Grand Lake of the Cherokees Quilting Club.
In 2009 she moved to the Joplin area to be closer to her only daughter as they were very close.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, on July 25, 1998, a son, John Joseph Frey, a brother, Tom Ferguson, and two sisters, Jane Quinn and Margaret Bain.
Survivors include her children, Beth Sellers and husband Dan of Webb City; Tom Frey and wife Kim of O'Fallon, Missouri; grandchildren, Neal Sellers, Joseph Sellers, Alexandria Frey, Kristen Frey, Tyler Joseph Frey, and Courtney Eddington; great-grandchildren, Carson and Aria; brother, Bill Ferguson, and a sister, Bettye Gotschall, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 12:00 noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Webb City with Father Rahab Isidor officiating. A Rosary will be recited starting at 11:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Inurnment of her ashes will be at a later date in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Kansas City.

Marie F. Bailey, 96, passed away October 22, 2014 in at Mercy Hospital Joplin, MO.
Marie was born July 19, 1918 in Sarcoxie, MO. Marie was a Southwest Missouri resident all her life, she was a housewife and also worked for Elders manufacturing in Webb City and Big Smith manufacturing in Carthage. Marie was a member of the Center Point Christian Church and a member of the Eastern star- charity chapter # 341 of Sarcoxie.
Marie was united in marriage to Bert William Bailey November 2, 1935 in Carthage, MO he passed September 15, 1991. Marie is survived by one daughter Betty Lou Shepherd and husband Tom, four grandchildren Cynthia M. Cox, Michael W. Cox, David Shepherd and Susan D. Royko, and five great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Marie is preceded by her parents Guy Berry and Ina Myrtle Garrison Berry, one daughter Sylvia Ina Cox, one son Robert Eugene Bailey and one half brother Paul J. Berry.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday October 25, 2014 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Saturday October 25 prior to the service at Ulmer Funeral Home. Elizabeth “Betty” Filarski age 79 of Joplin, MO passed away Tuesday October 21, 2014 at the National Healthcare Nursing home in Joplin, MO.
She was born on March 13, 1935 in Wentworth, MO the daughter of Benedict and Clara “Sierawski’ Bishoff. Betty graduated from Joplin High School. She married Clemet Filarski on January 14, 1956 in Joplin, MO. Betty worked as a Cashier for Consumers Grocery store along with several other stores in the area. She loved Animals, enjoyed gardening and especially loved her grandchildren.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Raymond Bischoff, two sisters: Margaret “Rose” Holland, and Harriet “Tink” Pearson; and a daughter in-law Cathy Filarski. Survivors include her husband Clem of the home, two sons Rick Filarski and wife Jackie of Joplin and David Filarski of Joplin a daughter Clara Williams of Georgia, seven grandchildren: Matt Williams, Tim Williams, Josh Williams, Justin Filarski, Kevin Filarski, Chris Filarski and Amy “Filarski” Modras; and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Friday October 24, 2014 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary with Reverend Jarel Burnside officiating. Burial will follow in the Diamond Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday at the Mortuary. The family suggests contributions to the Elizabeth Filarski Memorial Fund in care of the Mortuary.

Willie Mae Cortez
Willie Mae Poole Cortez, age 82 of Joplin, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at her home surrounded by family.
Willie Mae was born October 12, 1932 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Poole in Shreveport, Louisiana. Not too long after she moved with her family to Joplin where she graduated from Lincoln High School. She was a homemaker, traveling the world with her husband during his many years in the military.
Over 63 years ago she married her high school sweetheart, Lewis W. Cortez and he preceded her in death on September 26, 2013. They are now resting together again. Also preceding her in death is a daughter, Rosemary Felton and several siblings.
Survivors include one granddaughter, Tanishia Felton and a great-granddaughter, Aliyah McKinzie, both of Joplin; several sister and brother in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
Services are planned for Thursday, October 23 at 10:00 A.M. at Parker Mortuary. Family would like to receive friends Wednesday from 6-7:00 P.M. at the mortuary.

Bob Hamlin
Bobby George "Bob" Hamlin,. age 77, Joplin, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at his home after a lengthy illness.
Bob was born April 17, 1937 in Joplin, son of the late William "Willie" Hamlin and Lorna Keith Hamlin. He attended Joplin schools, and began his career as a truck driver at the age of 23 driving for C.E. Reynolds. He drove for several companies throughout his career, and retired in 1999 after the last 20 years with Roadway Trucking. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, and Empire Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Ina Copher Hamlin who died on December 28, 2001.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Erselene "Ersie" Mapes Hamlin whom he married May 8, 2010 in Joplin; son, Rob Hamlin and wife Marian of Neosho, Missouri; daughters, Cheryl Fussell of Joplin, Betty L. Mitchell and husband Dick of Stockton, California, and Synthia "Cindy" Wilbur and husband Jim of Sandy, Oregon; step-daughters, Angela Hebner of Pittsburg, Kansas, Susan Rickey and husband Mack of Albuquerque, New Mexico; brothers, Barry Hamlin of and wife Mary of Carl Junction, Jack Hamlin and wife Sandy of Deer Park, Texas; sister, Betty Stribling and husband Steve of Coral Springs, Florida; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Bro. Pat Jeffers officiating. Private interment of his ashes will be at a later date in Forest Park Cemetery.

Robert Broadwater
Robert D. Broadwater, 71, of Texarkana, TX passed away October 16, 2014 in a local hospital.
Mr. Broadwater was born October 6, 1943 to the late Franklin and Mae Broadwater in Joplin, MO. He was a retired Air Force Air Traffic Controller, serving four deployments in Vietnam and was employed at Texarkana Regional Airport. He was a Christian.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Broadwater of Texarkana, TX; son, Robert D. Broadwater, II of Covington, GA; granddaughters, Kelly Broadwater and Andrea Broadwater of Covington, GA; 3 brothers; and 5 sisters.

Charles Van Ostran
Mr. Charles R. Van Ostran, Jr., 82, of Joplin, Missouri, departed this life on Friday morning, October 17, 2014, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, Missouri, after a lengthy illness.
Charles began his earthly journey on November 20, 1931, in Freeburg, Missouri, son of the late Charles R. Van Ostran, Sr. and Laura (Franklin) Van Ostran. He was raised and graduated high school in Freeburg. He attended Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, before entering the United States Air Force. After being honorably discharged he attended Missouri University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture. He remained in the Air Force Reserves, retiring in 1987, as Master Sergeant. On August 28, 1958, he was united in marriage to Betty Jane AuBuchon and to this union three sons and one daughter were born. They resided in Chanute, Kansas, for sixteen years before moving to Joplin, Missouri, in 1975. He retired in 1998 from the Missouri State Highway Department where he worked as a material inspector for several years. He enjoyed a good cup of coffee, farming and tending to the needs of his cattle.
Charles was a member of the First Baptist Church in Joplin, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Charles Andrew Van Ostran; and three brothers, Harrison, Herbert and Bobby Van Ostran.
Charles is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Betty Van Ostran of the home; two sons, Stan Van Ostran and wife, Terry, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee and Steve Van Ostran and wife, Debbie, of Parker, Colorado; a daughter, Peggy Boyd and husband, Doug, of Caruthersville, Missouri; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Alice Feeler and husband, Bob, of Vienna, Missouri and Lillian Vinyard and husband, Jim, also of Vienna; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Van Ostran are 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2014, in the Chapel of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri, with Pastor Jamie Tinsel officiating. John Roland
Mr. John Amos Roland, 86, of Joplin, passed Friday, October 17, 2014, after his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and friends. John was a great father, grandfather, husband, and friend. He retired from the Denver Water Company after forty-two years of service. He enjoyed being outdoors as much as possible, whether it be in the garden, on the mower, tending to the animals, or planting flowers. His kindness and sense of humor will be remembered and missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Mary Roland; three brothers, Virgil, Lester and Leonard “Bud” Roland; and one sister, Lorene Butler Crowder.
John is survived by the love of his life, Violet June Roland, whom he married on June 14, 2005. Elva Lawrence
Mrs. Elva Louise Lawrence, 79, of Joplin, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday, October 19, 2014, at Landmark Hospital, after years of declining health.
Elva entered this life on July 28, 1935, in Joplin, Missouri, one of nine children born to the late Raymond and Myrtle Mae (Kenney) England. She was a lifelong resident of Joplin. On August 25, 1951, in Joplin, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Gerald R. “Rube” Lawrence and to this union four daughters and one son were born. Besides being a devoted homemaker, she also worked for several years at the former Oak Hill Hospital as a purchasing agent and later drove a school bus for the Joplin School District. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and visiting on the phone. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald Lawrence on June 12, 1979; an infant daughter, Terri Lynn Lawrence; and six siblings.
Elva is survived by three daughters, Sharon Babb and husband, Larry, of Carl Junction, Deborah Muir of Kansas City and Brenda McCollum and husband, Wayne, of Joplin, Missouri; a son, Jerry Lawrence and wife, Sherry, of Joplin; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Stephens of Oronogo and Lucille Pogue of Neosho; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Quinton R. Reynolds, 65, rural Carthage, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 after a sudden illness. Quinton R. Reynolds was born May 9, 1949 in Granby, MO, a son of the late Q.L. Reynolds and Louva Christine Relf Reynolds. He was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School, Class of 1967 and married Donna Routt on June 16, 1968 in Sarcoxie. Quinton was born and raised on the farm and was operating his dairy farm at the time of his death. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Sarcoxie.

Dee Judd
Dee Judd, 88, Neosho, died October 18, 2014 at his home following an illness.
He was born September 24, 1926 in Granby, the son of Elmer Cecil and Minerva Faye (Tanner) Judd. Dee spent most of his life in Granby. He was a road construction worker for 19 ½ years and drove a truck for Talbot Wire for 21 years. He rode horses and roped calves in rodeos, loved playing music with his band and enjoyed hunting and NASCAR. He was a member of the Granby Methodist Church.
Dee married Patty Franks on November 21, 1945 in Treece, Kansas, and she survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Deanna Givens and husband, David, Toni Hobson and husband, Jerry, Theresa Holloway and husband, James, and Carla Judd, all of Granby; a sister, Ruth Laris of Granby, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dee was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, John Mishler, and a son-in-law, Charlie Mishler.

Michael D. Thomas, 51, Brookline, former Neosho resident, died Oct. 19, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, following a sudden illness.
Michael was born December 7, 1962 in Springfield and graduated from Central High School in Springfield in 1981. He lived in Neosho for several years and returned to the Springfield area. Michael worked in manufacturing, he collected die cast model cars and was an avid Nascar and Cardinal fan.
Michael and Jenia White were married on Jan. 15, 1988 in Miami, OK and she survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Danielle Thomas, Springfield and twin daughters, Lindsay Thomas and Jodi Thomas, Brookline; his mother, Geraldine (Jerri) Lindsey, Carthage and Father in law and mother in law, Tom and Esther White, Granby. He is preceded in death by his father, Joe D. Thomas.

Nikki (Patrick) Teller
Nikki June (Patrick) Teller, 68, of Pittsburg, passed away at 1:57 a.m., Monday, October 20, 2014, at the Via Christi Hospital, Pittsburg.
She was born May 21, 1946, at Pittsburg, KS, the daughter of Dennis and Lillian (Greenwood) Patrick. She attended local schools and received her Master's Degree in English from Kansas State Teachers College, now P.S.U. Nikki was a journalist for the Morning Sun for 47 years. In that time, she reviewed hundreds of plays and performances in the community and wrote a public-profile column, "Patrick's People." In her career she had some stories and poems published.
On May 8, 1976, she was united in marriage to Stephen J. Teller at Pittsburg. He survives of the home. Nikki loved all animals, especially cats. She also enjoyed science fiction, traveling and going on cruises and the theater. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, James D. Teller of Kansas City, MO, one brother, Jerry Patrick of FL, one nephew, Kelly Patrick and one niece, Judy McNair, and cousins, Mary Lynn and Stephen Crosetto. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Shirlee Ann Patrick.
A service for Nikki is set for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 23, 2014, at the Pittsburg Memorial Auditorium. Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery, Pittsburg. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the Brenner Mortuary. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, to sign the register book. The family suggests memorials to the SEK Humane Society. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg, KS 66762. Dorothy M. Peters, 86 past away October 18, 2014 at Carthage Health and Rehab Carthage, MO.
Dorothy was born in Carthage, MO July 31, 1928 to Elmer A. Ogden and Myrtle Iva (Bass) Ogden. Dorothy was a lifetime Carthage resident and a school teacher, she taught in rural Carthage and the Webb City area for many years. Dorothy was a member of the Fairview Christian Church and was an active member; she served on the Farm Bureau and on the Jasper County Extension Council.
Dorothy was united in marriage to Henry Peters August 14, 1949. He passed November 2001. Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Carol A. Stine, and husband, Terry of Boise, Idaho, Susan M. White of Asheville, North Carolina, one son Larry Peters and wife Jan of Carthage, five grandchildren Julie Rangel of Boise Idaho, Dana Thomas of Grand Junction, CO, David Stine of Portales, NM, Carrie Naglak of Kuna, Idaho and Lee Peters of Carthage, and ten great grandchildren. Dorothy is preceded by her parents, her husband one brother Owen Ogden, and one son-in-law, Terry White, M.D.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday October 23, 2014 at Park Cemetery Carthage, MO. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday October 22, 2014 at Ulmer Funeral Home. She was born October 9, 1930 in Greenfield, Missouri to John and Leona (Weinstein) Shaw. Martha was a member of the Jasper United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and an avid baseball fan. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to National Health Care for the loving , kind care given to their mother.
Martha was united in marriage to William Greene on October 25, 1947 in Greenfield, MO.. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1998. Martha is survived by four sons, Terry Greene of Webb City, MO., Gary Greene of Carl Junction, MO., Billy Greene and Randy Greene both of Jasper, Mo.. A sister-in-law, Betty Shaw of Golden City, MO.. Twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren..
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO.. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October21, 2014 at Weng Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Jasper Youth Baseball Program.. The family will be at the home of Randy and Susan Greene.

Rocky Bullard
Rocky D. Bullard, 56 of Joplin, MO., passed away Thursday October 16, 2014 at his home following a short battle with brain cancer.
Rocky Bullard was born October 22, 1957 in Welch, Oklahoma the son of Bill and Leila (Mooney) Bullard. Rocky was a long time Welch resident before moving to Joplin seven years ago. He was a successful entrepreneur and a driven worker. He was a “Jack of all trades.” He owned many businesses in his lifetime, including a stone masonry business, to raising cattle, and many things in between. He was a dedicated and successful man, loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed raising cattle, being outside, hunting, football, and buying and selling machinery and real estate.
Rocky is survived by: his wife, Terri, Joplin, MO; two daughters, Amanda Bullard, Tulsa, OK, Samantha Bullard, Joplin, MO; granddaughter, Drew Goade, Joplin, MO; siblings, Ann Walker, Bluejacket, OK, Frances Wallace, Vinita, OK, Randy Bullard, Joplin, MO, Tom Bullard, Berry, AL, Don Bullard, Welch, OK, Leona White, Coffeyville, KS; numerous, nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. His parents preceded him in death.
Rocky is to be cremated. Memorial services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday October 21, 2014 at the Mason-Woodard Chapel in Joplin, MO. Brad Canham will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service on Tuesday.

Bob Blackwood
Robert Emerson (Bob) Blackwood, 65, died October 16, 2014 at Freeman West in Joplin following a lengthy illness.
He was born September 17, 1949 in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, the son of Bob Tom and Betty Gene (Emerson) Blackwood. Bob worked as a comptroller in the U.S. Army and the City of El Paso, Texas. He returned to Neosho in 2005 after retiring from 20 years of service in the military. Bob was an avid golfer and was a member of the DAV, VFW 4142, and the First Christian Church.
Bob married Phyllis Becknell on June 20, 1970 in Neosho, and she survives of the home. Also surviving are two daughters, Lara Pickrel, and husband, Chuck, of Liberty, Missouri and Sara Blackwood, and companion, Joe Aron, of Euless, Texas; one brother, John Keibel of Vashon, Washington; and mother-in-law, Dorothy Becknell of Neosho. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Linda Henderson
Linda Anne Parrish Henderson, age 64, of Joplin, Mo. passed away at 5:06 a.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Joplin Health and Rehab Center following a two month illness.
Linda was born April 9, 1950 in Joplin and lived in the Joplin area most of her life. She was a 1968 graduate of Carterville High School and was Valedictorian of her class. She attended Missouri Southern State University, and for 35 years worked for MSSU in the Library. Linda was a member of the First Christian Church of Webb City.
Survivors include her son, Ben Henderson and wife Pam, Pittsburg, KS, her Mother, Tillie Parrish, Lakeside Community, two brothers, John Parrish and wife Lynn, Marion, IL, and Jim Parrish, Webb City, one sister, Kathy Beyer and husband Bob, Webb City, a sister in law, Gretchen Parrish, Joplin, and two granddaughters, Ashleigh and Katherine Henderson. Linda was preceded in death by her Father, Fred Parrish, and a brother, Mark Parrish.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home in Webb City with David Patrick, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in the Carterville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. Monday until the Service at the Chapel. Memorial contributions are requested to the MSSU Spiva Library in care of the Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home of Webb City, Mo.
George Ralston
George Edgar Ralston, 64, passed away after his courageous battle with cancer on October 15 at his home surrounded by loving family and friends.
He was born February 23, 1950 to Lester and Evelyn Ralston in Carthage, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
George served with the U.S. Army in the 809th Engineer Battalion from 1968 to 1971 in Southeast Asia and Germany. Most recently attending Peace Lutheran Church, he was a faithful Christian who was committed to serving at church, and participated in many church activities. He enjoyed many family fishing and camping trips, going to Silver Dollar City, Boy Scout activities with his son, Church Campfire Worship, watching football with his father-in-law and having coffee with his friend Stan.
He was employed at Mercy Hospital for the last 18 years and spent the last several years as a courier for the Infusion Center. He was known for his kindness with the patients.
George is survived by his wife, Vicky Putnam Ralston. They were married at Blendville Christian Church, June 12, 1982. He is also survived by his daughter, Amy Faulkner and husband Christopher; granddaughter, Alanna; father-in-law and mother-In-law, Ray and Mary Putnam, all of Joplin. He is also survived by his son, Andrew Ralston, and wife Hannah of Tulsa, OK.
Additionally, he is survived by two brothers: Raymond Ralston (Helen) of Carthage, MO, Eugene Ralston, Joplin, MO, and three sisters, Betty Smith (Dale), Carthage, MO, Reba Replogle (Glenn) of Avilla, MO and Shirley Phillips (Arthur) of Ephrata, WA and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements are being provided by Parker Mortuary of Joplin. Visitation will be Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 6-7:00 P.M. at Parker Mortuary and Funeral Service will be at Blendville Christian Church Sunday, October 19, at 3:00 P.M..
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mercy Employee Crisis Fund or Peace Lutheran Church of Joplin.

She was born January 31, 1951 in Joplin, Mo, to Billy Ray and Martha Jane Stempke Baskett. Diana was a nurse’s aide for St John’s Hospital. She enjoyed crocheting, making throw rugs and attended the Baxter Springs Methodist Church.
She married George “Larry” Larkin on July 20, 1974 in Baxter Springs, Kansas and he survives. She is also survived by a step son Lonnie Larkin and wife Julie, one brother; Keith Baskett, one sister; Martha Lynne Baskett, and two step grandchildren; Lindsey and Brady. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Alan Hendrickson officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary.

Frances was born September 22, 1925 in Purdy, Missouri, the daughter of Tony and Rosie (Bousheski) Kresyman. She lived in Kansas City, Kansas for many years and moved to Neosho after husband’s retirement. Frances was a homemaker and loved to dance. She was a member of St. Canera Catholic Church.
Frances married Gaylord Garrison on May 8, 1948 in Kansas City, Kansas and he survives. Also surviving are two sons, Glenn Garrison of Neosho, and Steven Garrison of Kansas City, KS; one daughter, Wanda Barton of Monett; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Teri Byrd
Teresa (Teri) Loree Byrd, age 55 of Duenweg, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at her home surrounded by family following a hard fought battle with cancer.
Teresa was born September 2, 1959 to the late Maxie and Lela Schriber Thomas in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Missouri Southern State University with her teaching degree and then continued her education receiving her Master's degree at Pittsburg State University. She was a great educator, teaching science for many years at North Middle School in Joplin. Teresa was a faithful member of Forest Park Baptist Church where she was actively involved in Mission Joplin after the 2011 tornado.
She is survived by her best friend, Steve Byrd whom she married on June 12, 1981 in Webb City, Missouri.
Additional survivors include one son Taylor Byrd; daughter, Jennifer Branch (Ryan) all of Joplin; brothers, Tim Thomas of Columbus, Kansas, Troy Thomas and Todd Thomas both of Garland, Texas; sisters, Tracey Thomas of Baxter Springs, Kansas and Tricia Harrison (Rodney) of Sachse, Texas; many extended family and dear friends that will miss Teresa greatly.
Memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Forest Park Baptist Church in Joplin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Freeman Cancer Center or Joplin Humane Society in care of the mortuary.
