Donald Fredrick Davenport, age 46 of Joplin, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin after a sudden illness.
Donald was born January 2, 1968 to Donald E. Davenport and Nola Haynes Russow in Billings, Montana. Shortly after that he moved to the Joplin area where he has resided most of his life. Donald was a man of all trades in construction. He graduated from Seneca High School and then attended Crowder College. Donald believed in God and was a Christian.
On May 7, 2011, Donald married Malissa Watkins in Joplin, Mo. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors include his mother, Nola Russow of Joplin; sons, Cody Ritter, Ezekiel ‘Sneaker’ Perez, Ed Perez, all of Joplin; daughters, Kylie Davenport, Tabitha Watkins and Jessica Watkins, all of Joplin; grandchild, Gracie Lynn "Gidgit" Watkins; sisters, Shelly Favors and husband Mike of Joplin, Margaret Greninger and husband Jim of Quapaw, OK; brother, Joe Davenport of Joplin.
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald E. Davenport, brothers, Jim and Bill Davenport; sister, Debra Osborne and one nephew Shane Kirklin.
A graveside service is planned for Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at Hornet Cemetery. Bishop Dan Belnap will be officiating and Brother Dave Richins will be speaking. Brother Ed Hinds will be dedicating the grave.
A benefit dinner will be held for Donald Davenport at the Hornet Community Building to raise donations on Thursday, October 30th at 3:00 p.m. and last throughout the evening.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
