Harold L. Comer, age 68, passed away on October 9, 2014 at his home in Joplin.
He was born July 17, 1946 in Abilene, Kansas to the late Earl E. Comer and Francis L. Forslund Comer.
Harold moved to Joplin in 1991 and was united in marriage with Cheryl Storrie on November 7, 1992. He worked as a machinist until his retirement and was a faithful member of the Sheep Shed Church.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; three daughters, Trinette Brown and her husband, Vernon, Salina, Kansas, Tiffany Anguiano and her husband, Phil, Abilene, Kansas, Tisha Morabito and her husband, Dan, Abilene, Kansas; step children, Shelly Metzger and her husband, Mark, James Watkins, Jimi Presley and her husband, Scott, all of Joplin; brothers, Cecil Corder and his wife, Hazel, Independence, Missouri, Mike McCloud and his wife, Cecilia, Applington, Iowa, Chuck Denham and his wife, Trish, Girard, Kansas, Gary Comer, Wichita, Kansas; sisters, Sharon Corder and her husband, Charles, Cambridge, Kansas, Treva Jones, Wichita, Kansas; fifteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and his special dogs, Reese and Cedric.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Comer and a brother, Timothy McCloud.
A graveside committal of ashes will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Park Cemetery. Rev. Doug Wilkerson will officiate.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
