Linda Anne Parrish Henderson, age 64, of Joplin, Mo. passed away at 5:06 a.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Joplin Health and Rehab Center following a two month illness.
Linda was born April 9, 1950 in Joplin and lived in the Joplin area most of her life. She was a 1968 graduate of Carterville High School and was Valedictorian of her class. She attended Missouri Southern State University, and for 35 years worked for MSSU in the Library. Linda was a member of the First Christian Church of Webb City.
Survivors include her son, Ben Henderson and wife Pam, Pittsburg, KS, her Mother, Tillie Parrish, Lakeside Community, two brothers, John Parrish and wife Lynn, Marion, IL, and Jim Parrish, Webb City, one sister, Kathy Beyer and husband Bob, Webb City, a sister in law, Gretchen Parrish, Joplin, and two granddaughters, Ashleigh and Katherine Henderson. Linda was preceded in death by her Father, Fred Parrish, and a brother, Mark Parrish.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home in Webb City with David Patrick, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in the Carterville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. Monday until the Service at the Chapel. Memorial contributions are requested to the MSSU Spiva Library in care of the Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hedge-Lewis Funeral Home of Webb City, Mo.
