Mary Margaret Records, 87, Joplin, formerly of Neosho, died October 28, 2014, in Joplin, following a short illness.
She was born July 9, 1927 in Granby, the daughter of James Elbert and Hester Olive (Hurst) Wallace. Margaret lived most of her life in the Oswego and Neosho area and worked in retail sales. She was an avid bowler and was a member of the Red Hat Society, the VFW Auxiliary and Fellowship Baptist Church.
Margaret was married to George W. Records and he preceded her in death on April 11, 1984. She is survived by two sons, David Records and wife, Kelly of Bakersfield, California and Steve Records of Oswego; a son-in-law, Gary McDowell and wife, Beverly of Oswego; three sisters, Betty Ensor of Joplin, Yonavie Hierholzer of Seneca and Peggy Keatts of Joplin; seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Georgeann McDowell, three brothers and two sisters.
