(From Ozark Funeral Home)Ronald James Plummer, a lifelong resident of McDonald County, Missouri, passed away on May 3, 2025, in Anderson, MO, one day after his 63rd birthday. He was born on May 2, 1962, in Cassville, MO, to the late Joe and Twyla Plummer. Ronald was known for his infectious sense of humor and his somewhat ornery nature, both of which brought joy and laughter to those around him.
On September 25, 1992, Ronald married his beloved wife, Janie, and they shared a loving and devoted partnership of 33 years. Ronald's greatest passion was his family, and he cherished every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He wore the title of "Paw Paw" with immense pride and considered it one of his life's greatest honors.
Apart from his family, Ronald had a deep connection to the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had quite the collection of guns and rifles. Each spring, he looked forward to the thrill of hunting for morrell mushrooms. Ronald was also a steward of the land. He loved mowing his farm and helping to care for the many fruit trees he planted for his wife. He lovingly referred to them as an "obstacle" course.
Those who knew Ronald will remember him as a man of warmth and kindness. His sense of humor was unparalleled, and he had a knack for making people smile even on their toughest days.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janie Plummer; his children, Mike and Brandy Taylor, Cindy and John Godfrey, of Crane, Missouri, Dottie L. Plummer, of Lanagan, Missouri, Jesse and Heather Taylor, of Harrison, Arkansas, and Ronald Jr. and Leslie Plummer, of Anderson, Missouri; two sisters, Carolyn and Frank Williams, Splitlog, Missouri, and Gayola and Gary Dodson, of Neosho, Missouri; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Twyla Plummer; a sister, Violet; and a grandson, Steven Taylor.
As we say farewell to Ronald James Plummer, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, marked by a profound love for family, and a boundless sense of humor. He will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will continue to bring comfort and smiles to those he leaves behind.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri. Cremation will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
